I heard the same statement many many years ago.
AMD laptop is nowhere to be seen until this very day.

HP already have some Trinity laptops, but not for Malaysian market, yet. Weird.

if just focus on gaming, higher speed 4 cores should be good option.
lower speed 6 cores doesn't help. unsure.gif

Clock for clock, FX-8350 might perform lower than a Trinity APU.

Vishera Pre-Orders Online

If this article is true, Vishera FX8350 will be priced similar to FX 8150 @ launch date. Please don't go rushing and buy without looking @ benchmarks. Just wait till next year until AMD Malaysia gives significant price cuts...

There is no one in this Low Yat that reduced their AMD CPUs price yet, except Ling Loong? shakehead.gif

Anyone using A8 3870K, OC and play high requirement games?
How's it perform?
I'm actually thinking whether get an A10 5800K or FX-43/6300 next month..main purpose is gaming, but I saw in youtube 3870K in BF3, you have to use 1280x720 and med to low setting in order to keep the playable FPS

Any suggestion? Thanks

Edited: rudolfjie, an A10-5800k will be better than A8-3870k. Just don't expect it to beat an I5-2500k with dedicated GPU.

Trinity's FM2 board will at least last 2 generation until Steamroler's debut but pricing will suck back here in Malaysia.
