QUOTE(BBXiong @ Sep 7 2010, 10:55 PM) i do have another assumption that might make some little sense... u see, smashpOp and other tech reviewers already been invited to an N8 event, which is what we saw on their respective blogs..i think they only get to hands on with the gear for that few hours...as for us, if(i say if) we are getting the retail package for the Rangers kick off, i think nokia need to finalize what to include in their retail package..and i think that is the pending thing that is dragging the product kick off...or else i suppose it wont beed until end of september also, need to mass produce and finalize retail package... then again that's my very optimistic thought... Well....from my experience of getting into the Nokia Music Explorer program before, for the launching of X6, its is true as u said. Before the program kick off, the bloggers were 1st given a hands on to the phone in a separate event beforehand. That's why I still have hopes on the program itself And please, make this thread as constructive as it can.

QUOTE(BBXiong @ Sep 7 2010, 11:17 PM) so you get an x6 from that event? and how much later is the event kick off from the blogger's hands on? Yup. All 50 of us got an X6 for free that night. How much later? Well can't remember it TBH, but I'd say around 2-3 weeks

~Me dun wanna feed the epic phailed troll Well, although I said like dat, for this program, I also doesn't even know if Nokia will give us free N8. Because before this, it was stated clearly that we will get an X6 in the invitation. But it was quite vague on this one. Well, just keep our finger crossed then

QUOTE(BBXiong @ Sep 7 2010, 11:35 PM) well, in the official statement from the nokia's whatever manager(cant remember) from Radiance's email, it says that "we will present a new N8 for your own use"...i believe that translate as "we give u N8, u help build more hype out there" Well, although I want to believe on that, but its too vague. It can be that we will given the phone for just a hands on in the event itself. But I wouldn't say that I dun wan getting a free N8. LOL

QUOTE(BBXiong @ Sep 7 2010, 11:48 PM) same here...in fact, as much as i am interested, i don think i would get this phone if i were to buy it..Symbian 3 is new, and there's no guarantee Symbian 4 would be ported for it...i want something that is more future proof.. Well, TBH, I dun mind actually if I were using an outdated OS. Because, im already used to do so LOL. This comes from a still active Palm OS user And outdated or not, Symbian^3 still sumhow maintains app compatibility with both S60v5, Symbian^4 and Meego. In such a way, apps is not a problem for me. As long as Nokia still roll out updates to iron out the bugs, thats not a big issue for me. And if I ought to buy a Symbian^3 phone, E7 will be my choice. Coz I need hardware keyboard

QUOTE(Deswin @ Sep 9 2010, 01:18 AM) i saw back then the guy was telling probably n8 would send vga signals through the 3.5 mm port.. not sure its true or not but i think hes crapping Well I think wat he was saying that N8 will support the normal TV-Out via the 3.5mm port. Like how those usually N-series can do.

QUOTE(WaytoDawn @ Sep 13 2010, 02:02 PM) Pakai baju baru? Must be red in color, makes it 3x faster!! *Kudos to anyone here who actually gets what I mean * Char!!! Lololol...yup, me is gundamfag as well..*feddie here tho lulz* As for me, although the Nitdroid project is great, I still feels that the best way is actually running Android OS a la how Easy Debian is running on N900...because dual boot on a phone is just too cumbersome to begin with. Well me can just hope that it can come true one day LOL
