The lower the number the better.

The size of a camera sensor will have a big impact on the quality of your pictures. The lens gathers light and directs it towards the sensor, and the sensor records the light to create the image.
Large sensor produces better images

All things being equal, a larger sensor will receive more light than a smaller one, and produce better images. This is especially important in low light photography.

When light levels are low, a smaller sensor will generate a higher amount of noise, which will decrease the quality of the images. This is why the best low-light setups include a camera with a large sensor (usually a DSLR) and a lens with a large aperture.

perfect camera phone as i said.nothing to complain.see the last post in the thread by Happygoluckyme.haha.

nokia categorized it as camera phone.y all those ppl cant understand?lol.just like SE W for music K/C for camera and etc etc.in fact,N8 still not perfect in hardware(but its reasonable for that price).nokia wanna left some improvement space for Meego ultimate device i think.

ipon 100gs i still not impressed.btw,i admit that apple got their advantage but overall still overprice.(im using although im not impress,)

i hope N9 enter the market end of this year.probably xmas!then i got new phone @xmas again~haha.
