Thats right thanks to ppl like this the nokia ranger might see its end

Might as well just send a couple Nokia Fanboys and get the events happening then... LOL

Hail Nokia... Hail godlike phone and they give you one for free...
*
The whole point of the event is to find someone that is interested in nokia devices and symbian, so that they can hear their feedback, and also help gather some other feedback from end users...if everyone is going for the sake of the free N8, what's the point for nokia to held the ranger program in the first place? doh.gif

honestly, i am thrilled of the free N8, but at the same time, i am also interested in what's new in S3, how far it can go, and what's Nokia's future planning to fight back in the smart phone market.

Hahaha...

Honestly lor, you guys not interested in getting one free?
It never cross my mind to get into the program in the hopes of getting the Nokia N8 for free. At the very least I could hope is a free lunch and a good hands on preview of the device, at least that is what I think the Ranger program is for.

+1

initially when Radiance mention 'kick start the event with the anticipated N8', i thought it would be a one day event where we get to hands on with N8 and ask some questions, and get some small freebies...

What do you think anyway?

I dont see any logic inviting a couple of guys from LYN and then conduct the ranger program.
Nokia really want to reach a couple of guys or they want some 'POSITIVE' reviews from bloggers/reviewers?? Which makes more sense?

Maybe what been discover earlier is true regarding where the Mem Card easily get corrupted:

a cut out of the user manual:

Format the mass memory
Want to delete all content from your device mass memory? When you format the mass
memory, all the data on it is deleted.
Back up all data you want to keep before formatting the mass memory. All data is
permanently deleted.
1 Select Menu > Applications > Office > File mgr..
2 Select and hold the mass memory, and from the pop-up menu, select Format.
Do not format the mass memory using PC software, because it may cause degraded
performance.
You can use Nokia Ovi Suite to back up data to a compatible computer. Digital rights
management (DRM) technologies may prevent some backup data from being restored.
For more information about DRM used for your content, contact your service provider.

from what been observed from my tube, the phone default will format the mem card using FAT32 with cluster size 32kb, but in Windows XP (my old comp) will default format using FAT32 with cluster size 4kb, my opinion would be these extra file system info overload the devices and causing intermittent mem corruption... hmm.gif
