I think the same...  cut off the top/bottom part will be nice....

if they can put 1800mAH or even 2000mAH batt on it.. I dont mind the thickness

if Nokia put any battery above 1500mah in it sure nice and don't mind abit thick
but sadly it only carry 1200mah batt

sorry to say my phone much smaller also 1500mAH.. and it have third party SunGlobal 1850mAH battery.... 

I think SunGlobal have higher AH for the N8 replacement model...  but that kind of size cannot be higher than 1500mAH.. 

i don mind is sun global has replacement battery..but the thing is, replace battery = open up casing = void warranty..i don think any of us wanna risk that when its still under warranty

not open casing.. I think is just 2 side screw to open the lower plastic cover...

but..  the first week I bought my n95.. I hack into it..

same, but hacking doesnt void the warranty, heck..they cant even tell/don bother check anyways...
but this one is hardware, actually the battery is fairly easy to remove also, like u mention, just lower plastic cover unscrew kaotim, but knowing nokia, sure say u open up the phone, so warranty no more..if u say open up battery then battery warranty no more(something like laptop warranty style)..i don mind at all lor, since SunGlobal obviously have its own warranty...lol

N8 video recording no AutoFocus? I see sample videos all out of focus one?

The N8 uses a system we refer to as ‘Active Hyper-focal Distance’. Hyper-focal distance is a specific lens focus position which by using depth of field allows the greatest range from near to infinity for objects to appear in focus. The Nokia N8 uses a 28mm (35mm film equivalent) focal length Carl Zeiss lens. This provides us with huge depth of field. But by using the hyper focal distance means objects placed between roughly 60cm and infinity will appear sharply focused.

I am just and only anxious about N8 pricing nia, too many other newer phones to choose from.

The n8 doesn't have auto focus for video recording instead , it uses the Active Hyper-focal Distance.

Added on September 2, 2010, 6:25 pmIf I m not wrong.. the bottom cover of the N8 will have the mic on it...  I suspect there r some abtenna there too.. just like the n95....

if they do put warranty seal on it maybe some kind of "bling bling" one which look good and last longer

wonder if they do put cheap warranty seal on the screw, and we damage the seal cos of daily using, consider warranty void?
