But this is what people ask for~
Like they said, ITS NOT ABOUT TECHNOLOGY, ITS ABOUT HOW YOU DO WITH IT it's just , no phone or any particular product can satisfy all kind of consumer Nokia just trying to get attention by releasing this powerful device as no manufacturer ever create such specs of phone yet..after all, nokia still wants to earn money ,and satisfy a quater amount of buyer isnt it? |

I wish they do away the HDMI and improve either the RAM or the CPU speed.
I don't even use my N82 with a normal TV, what is to say HDMI again. |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Aug 28 2010, 01:12 AM) There is a possibility N8 will have a good battery life. U ask why look at X6. The phone can last 2 or 3 days battery life with normal usage. i'm looking for more at the battery life......very2 greedy one BTW X6 is 1320mah with 3.2" LCD while N8 only 1200mah with 3.5 AMOLED LCD....wonder N8 can come close to X6 when compare at battery life? no money to buy an X6 for testing |

QUOTE(Clementyeo @ Aug 28 2010, 01:01 AM) i guess N8 is about entertainment, maybe higher RAM or CPU cost more than the HDMI port? Nokia dont want to sell their product in high price most of the time Now that I can see why despite Symbian market share dipping, they still hold to a certain extend. Nokia dominance over the last decade has blinded their user.compared to android phone or other high end phone...and like they said , maybe symbian^3 really dont require such high RAM or CPU but they built in GPU (for entertaining as well) or maybe symbian^3 dont support too high RAM or CPU or bla bla bla? since symbian^3 1st device, we dont expect too much from the 1st try..maybe it will be getting better and better in the future, but i really doubt that meego is the focus of high RAM and CPU i guess..Flagship high end phone of meego wont make user down when it's finalize to release 1. N8 is a smartphone. HDMI out is just a secondary feature. The thing that attract smarphone user are still the CPU/GPU combination and RAM along with the OS. BTW, Nokia did not want to sell high price? Did you know what you are saying? Which phone are you comparing to, when you said that. Dont just accuse blindly. N97 cost over 2k and so did Iphone 3GS but which is superior? Dont tell me you are going to say its a 5MP vs 3MP when you are comparing a smartphone? 2. How many times I heard the Symbian does not require this, does not require that. Wake up, will ya? Android also does not need such speed and ram as well. In fact, even though most Android phone are coupled with 384~512MB RAM, the OS(Ecclair) itself still cant address >296MB. They still have to wait for Froyo (2.2) to be able to utilise more ram, but even so still unable to fully utilise all 512MB. The main reason for the higher spec is to have room for upgrades. What Nokia been doing over these past years has been fitting a cpu and ram that barely enough to run smoothly and then release something new and expecting us to buy a new device. I think this kind of business model is not attractive to user anymore. 3. Symbian 3 is merely a rename nia. Nokia S60V5 failed miserably and they wanted to start all over again. Judging from the interface, I dont think much changed from S60V5, except that task manager, some kernel improvement but overall still the pretty same S60V5. Tell me how NEW it is. Dont be fooled by them. I tell you what is new, the dead S90 and Maemo. That is what we called a new OS, not something that you change a bit inside and call it brand new. 4. Just look at Maemo and then look back at Symbian. Nokia decision not to move to a totally new OS for its touchscreen device is a wrong move. User want different ways to communicate with their touchscreen phone. Nokia always wanted to retain the old ways of doing things. Maemo also not fully evolved but already a big step. Its sad to see Nokia give up Maemo for Symbian. Nokia could just rename Maemo to Symbian Touch and get on with it instead of wasting time on another Symbian platform. Its going nowhere. If I wanted a multimedia device, I would get an Ipad or an Android pad but I want a phone and being a smartphone, Nokia just have to deliver the performance worthy of being called a smartphone. |

QUOTE(Clementyeo @ Aug 28 2010, 12:28 AM) But this is what people ask for~ Nokia is a big lazy company. They had done so with 5800/N97/X6 as well.Like they said, ITS NOT ABOUT TECHNOLOGY, ITS ABOUT HOW YOU DO WITH IT it's just , no phone or any particular product can satisfy all kind of consumer Nokia just trying to get attention by releasing this powerful device as no manufacturer ever create such specs of phone yet..after all, nokia still wants to earn money ,and satisfy a quater amount of buyer isnt it? Its more of a financial benefit than anything. By doing so, they were able to present a same experience for lesser. Besides, they would save a lot of the cost and time for phone support. It would also improve the numbers of S3 phone to attract software developers. |
