hello and hii everyone....
i got my new gen-2 cps (manual) last week and so far everything is great... especially the car handling.... yeah before this, i drove a kancil... and it is a big jump i think....

the car already needs to have its first service this week lol.... been in lumut last day.... the fuel consumption shows 6.3l/100km... lol... i know that the one at the meter panel is not correct as i calculate it manually, the value is around 7l/100km to 8l/100km....

but yesterday, i found out that there is a small paint defect on my car hood.... it is about 1mm... i know that it is normal if the paint chipped caused by flying rock... but this one, the chipped is penetrating the second layer.... revealing the bare metal.... the first layer is the car color, second layer is the white layer.... so.. my question is, does proton cover this in their warranty...??? i dont want my new car get rusted after a year owning it...... lol... and i dont have any dslr camera to take a pic of the damage.....

but if let say they say the defect is not covered by warranty, how much d you think if they want to touch up for a 1mm-small area?? hope it's below rm50... pokai already....

the engine is really vroom2 type.... .. there was one time i pressed the pedal at a junction after the traffic light turned green, until the sound loud enough to be heard by a perdana v6 driver... that driver then pressed the pedal thinking that i wanna race with him... .... but i was not....

so many choices... haha... but i think i want to try to ask SC first... hoping that they can settle this damage for free...

looking at the automotive paint structure inside the web, i think my paint chipped is really at the steel level... confirm need to do the touch up....

if it is caused by flying rock... i think i can accept the damage... haha... need to drive FAST to avoid those rock lorry...

btw my car is genetic silver....

my gen 2 is the one that has black roof n dark rims.... but silver in color (is it mc3??)... so far everything is at its best.... except the chipped paint... no time right now to go to the sc... the engine is as smooth as silk... rev happily... no prob.. and you can get 0-100km/h in 10.6s.... that's what they told me la.... ... but i think its achievable... fuel consumption so far is the same like my old 15years kancil (after using it for 1 week + went to lumut last weekend..).. around 14km/l but this one plus 4 on board passengers with things that they bought at lumut... i think if in city, it would be around 12-14km/l.... millage 1100km....

nope myvi cannot potong you after 50km/h.... ... power is between 2000rpm to 5000rpm.... and my car is manual transmission...

current supply of gen2, my salesman said silver and white.... fire red = no stock.... white color not bad.... ...

already done my first service... sprayed the chipped paint... actually for free... but i wanted them to spray smoothly... so paid rm60 for that...

but that is not the story that i want to share with you guys... at that time also, i wanted them to check the driver window... there was a sound "click" when it was fully closed... it was a minor prob... yes, they solved the problem... but at a cost of a door... the door framed... the one at the upper part, bended a little....!!! when i closed it, it leaned towards outside... i didnt realise it at first... when i drove that car back home, i found a little weird with the cabin noise, the noise from outside can be heard clearly.... and they fixed it after i complained, but the door is not the same as before.. not align.. i can see the misalign... this saturday, they asked me to come and spray some part caused by the bend...

summary, new car.. 1 week old.. and with a bended framed door... really frustrated with that... i regret telling them about the window click sound....

the SC is located at serdang jaya....

at 3.5-3.8k, I think, the buzzing sound is caused by the intake, changing from long runner to short runner... cps engine is using an intake that use electrical motor to change the runner... maybe you can try to ask the sc guy to check at that motor....

cps start kicking at 4.5k rpm if im not mistaken... err 4.4?? forgot already...

ahh... yes... ok... sorry... 3.8k cps while 4.8k short runner.... lol..

yes.. what kind of buzzing?? r u sure it is from the engine or other thing?? it can be anything...
how about the solenoid valve that control the cps engagement?? just guessing.. hahaha...

Actually, it depends on your SA. Because, any complaint related to paint must be made before accepting the car. Ask your SA first. Show the affected area to your SA.

Lol, urs is lower la.. based on rm50 - 400... My car full tank rm70 can only go 560km la...
But i think not 400km...maybe like rm50 380km to 400km.. Coz this one is not calculated based on pump full tank to pump full tank.. It is calculated based on the fuel light on the speedometer..

really?? lol... dont have the chance to full tank my car... dont have the money yet haha... the downpayment really put a hole in my pocket... so far after the lumut case, i had isi rm50 x 5.... first one petronas - 270km... then petronas - 270km... changed to esso... got 300km.... all 70% city 30% highway (70% cause the distance to my work place is around 3-4km from home).... then to iskandar perak which is today, esso, rm50 380km to 400km.... right now another rm50, bhp, still has half tank....

sphiroth... referring to your dyno chart in your sig... is it torque on wheel or crank?? coz, the graph shows around 140 something when the max torque stated below is 138nm.... or yours is the red line?? lol waja CBS...

my car has a kok sound when i drove it over a bump and it is happened only when i drive it slowly, like 20km/h... i think it is from the absorber... dang... front absorber to be exact...

cps kick in after 4k rpm really made me crazy.... lol... hahaha.. feel like wanna do it every time after the traffic light turns green...

Does anyone know where can i find shop who has experience in reducing/stopping crack on windshield.. My car winshield got chipped by a flying rock today... N i forgot to tell the salesman to include insurance for windshield..

Anyone has exp this? If I want to apply now, do they check the windshield first (my car is only 2 months old)? The chipped is too small (around 2mm) but penetrated first layer of the screen... No crack at the moment...
