Just sent my nissan sentra N16 back to TCSC to do overhaul because of leaky valve. It only 19k km and only 1 year old. Then the suspension full of noise. I really very disappointed with nissan. So proud of proton.

QUOTE(mrl @ Dec 25 2010, 10:51 AM)
dang.... last nite on my way back to terengganu stop at one petronas... fill up the tank, and suddenly the engine doesn't want to start... pretty creepy i'd say...

when i crank the engine, there's this relay sound going on and off "tak, tak, tak, tak" repetitively... and the indicators in the meter panel (blue light and ABS) goes on and off while cranking in sync with the sound...

what could cause this??? please advice...

luckily the engine started up finally and i dare not to switch off the engine last nite the whole journey from Penang to Terengganu... sweat.gif

I'm pretty sure the battery is OK as the headlights doesn't dimmed, all electrical (radios, mobile phone charger) are working perfectly. The only thing I touched between unable-to-start and suddenly-can-start is the fuse box inside the engine bay, trying to take out the fuse puller.

p to the s: it's Gen2 btw...
*
Pls check your fuse box see izit it melted. Engine bay fuse box and also interior fuse box. Gen 2, Saga BLM, Persona are facing alot fuse box getting melted.

Yours car is manual or auto? headlamp doesn't dimmed it doesn't mean battery is enough voltage. After the headlamp dimmed, it not only your battery faulty and your alternator is faulty too.

A easy way to check either the battery is usable or not if don't have battery checking tool. (only for manual car).

Shift to 1st gear,Press the clutch, turn on headlamp and crank the engine. If it start easily, mean the battery is okay. If during cranking you feel the starter move heavily, that mean battery voltage is low.

What kind of material? which part of the car? One question, is it worth to autofoam my car? hmm.gif
Maybe the sound coming from the spare tyre space? my car have that sound. try to "goncang" spare tyre, maybe it's the screw that hold the tyre.

Added on January 5, 2011, 8:48 am
Which part is the drive shaft? Noob here blush.gif
*
Door and also floor. Still thinking wanna get what material. Autofoam is good. Disadvantage is the chasis too stiff, and once accident you will cause alot of trouble to ketuk it.

About the MYVI drive shaft, the main culprit is not the drive shaft. The main culprit is the lower arm. The lower arm came out itself.

Kakakakakaah...like this can aaa.. laugh.gif.

I found where sound came from rear bonnet..under speaker got 2 metal bar that rattle together when driving at uneven road. Now i tight them together and see how..
*
Don't ever try to tighten that 2 metal bar. It use to flex your rear bonnet. once tighten it your bonnet might not open or the metal bar will break. It not cheap to change that metal bar.

ooowwh...be right back..now cut the cable tie & rubber hose. sweat.gif

Don't try to play with those 2 metal bar. cause it so dangerous. I kena hit by the metal bar during some job as it break itself. It cause my finger nearly break. sweat.gif That metal car won't cause sound cause it so tighten in place cause it twisted during installation.

You try check the rear bonnet lock. As it had a metal which cause knocking sound. Tell me what kind of sound you facing and during what condition the sound appear. I agak agak can help you find it out.

Remove the door panel, then lower the window until you see the bracket holding together with the mirror. Then use mirror glue and apply some on it to tighten it. So far I don't see my customer waja cps window drop already. icon_rolleyes.gif

This is for easy and safe. If wanna 100% more secure, you need remove the window and apply the gum on the bracket then only apply gum on the bracket. But this not easy as will break the window if not doing correctly.

ade sape2 pnah tukar timing belt? dah nak sampai 80k km ni...SC quote me rm560 for the timing belt service + air cond belt and installation...and of course to add another 400++ for the major service..ok ke x eh??
*
I think you need extra budget another RM300. Cause scare you water pump is leaking. I do alot campro cps and also campro, once i remove the timing belt the water pump sure leaking.

QUOTE(mrl @ Jan 12 2011, 10:18 AM)
ehhh??? i thought supposedly CPS is at 3.8k, VIM at 4.8k isnt it??? and it's electronically controlled by the ECU??? those things are adjustable with ACP???

what's ACG btw??? sweat.gif
*
Yes. You correct. Our cps is at 3.8k while VIM is at 4.8k. But in neo cps, the cps at 4.3k. icon_rolleyes.gif

The VIM and CPS is controlled by the ecu. CPS on and VIM on is controlled by the ecu while you cannot do anything with it. For the ACP, it is adjusting the valve timing. Something like advance or retard the timing.

I wanna invest on ACP, but I worry the ACP will break cause I see several cases already. Maybe it because of using cheap quality acp. sweat.gif

90k? Don't worry it snap? For campro is risky to change at 90k km. sweat.gif

That bracket gave handbrake feel. If without the braket, when you tarik handbrake you feel weird.

Unbalanced Brake Pads Wear,
not a good sign, please check it up ASAP...

Pad Wear Chart Helps Diagnose Caliper Problems
*
If i'm not wrong, that picture is showing left and right brake pad. Not a pair brake pad on 1 side. For Gen 2, Waja and persona with rear disc brake, that really cannot do anything. Left side and right side brake pad really wear until not balanced. It because of the brake pressure is not 100% accurate. icon_rolleyes.gif
