QUOTE(Goaltracker @ Sep 16 2010, 07:28 PM) Just came back from kedai papan...window shopping only.. Last time I were there when changing my rims, they suggest 50 instead of 45 to protect the rims.I want to install 16" rim+205/50 tyres+lowered/sport spring.. That salesman suggest to use 45 series tyre instead of 50 coz to avoid rear tyre from cecah when bumpy roads.. is it true?i want to use 50 series to give more protection to my rims... |

QUOTE(singchaii @ Sep 17 2010, 09:12 PM) I thought there only V-power Ron97. Just now went to shell, accidently pumped V-power racing which cost Rm2.48. Since already have v-power ron97, there is another v-power racing. Izit ron 98? Vpower racing in Singapore is Ron98. I suspect its the same here. QUOTE(mADmAN @ Sep 17 2010, 09:17 PM) By Law... the maximum RON allowed for fuels in malaysia is RON97. Never heard of such law before.. VPower just has extra additives in it....but still RON97 Vpower racing and Vpower97 got 40c price difference per liter. I doubt that additives can cost almost 20% of the fuel price. For me, the difference between both vpower is very obvious. |

QUOTE(aznan83 @ Sep 18 2010, 07:14 AM) flamefox850 ... Azran ?? huhuhu... he my elder bro... he wrote this mail to shell to confirm the vpower ron long time ago... huhu Long time no see.. QUOTE(mADmAN @ Sep 18 2010, 07:18 AM) Meaning that Vpower Racing is more than Ron97 since shell guarantee it to bo atleast Ron97 (regulated). Since no process can get the perfect ron rating, most probably its ron97.99. BTW, who does the checking and ensure the ron is really 97 or 95 anyway? Because my friend that just come back from UK complaint that our ron97 fuel is almost the same with UK ron95. This post has been edited by sphiroth: Sep 18 2010, 12:23 PM |

QUOTE(cfkian @ Sep 18 2010, 06:16 PM) For those who uses the vpower fuel, u can try to check whether your engine oil turns red colour, my mechanic told me that the vpower got serious chemical which makes our engine oil turn red wo similar with the gear oil. He also don't know whether there is any side effect but he said he never uses vpower, because not necessary. Note: he is driving wira v6 twin turbo. Unless your engine got problem, petrol and engine oil will not mix with each other. |

The problem with turbo is the desire to overboost which will compromise its durability.
Anyway, I'm quite satisfied with my car now. Added on September 24, 2010, 10:56 pm QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ Sep 24 2010, 10:47 PM) will try to get a turbo within 2 years or when i alerady bored with the power, which is earlier hahahah Take into account other cost such as brake upgrade, chassis strengthening, exhaust mods, suspension upgrade etc. Oh yeah, maintenance also.but depends on the price as well. less than rm7k then i'll procede. If more, better just leave it stock This post has been edited by sphiroth: Sep 24 2010, 10:56 PM |

QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ Sep 24 2010, 11:00 PM) That one can do slowly. maintenance also can put aside as it will use our daily expenses, which i can bear with it If given a choice, which one will you choose, small turbine (for low end) or big turbine (for high end)? I would go for high end power. The problem is to get the turbo kit, have to pay all. cannot do part by part |

Engine transplant doesn't meant it will be problem free. Also, it will affect car value.
1.4 TSI uses twin charging, supercharger for low end, turbocharging for high end. |
