hello...i plan to buy my car insurance through internet..but i'm not sure about estimate value for my waja cps...my car was produced in 2009 but i bought in Jan2010...is it reasonable if i put RM60K? as far as i know, the insurance company only cover base on car market value. But, since this is my 1st year to renew roadtax/insurance, i afraid if i under estimate the value.

tq guys.

So leh, the market value is just for your reference only...
you still need to check with your car insurance agent.

Yesterday i change my tyre..now using goodyear eagle f1 gsd3 205/50/16. Just done 50km++ only with this tyre, i only observe noise level..it not very quiet like my last R1..the noise is like fan sound but that can only hear when i drive around 90kmj. But i can live with it. About the performance i dont have a chance to try yet but when after done with run in i will share with u guys my testimony.
My alignment, ok or not? With this setting  feel my steering too light and car handling seem nervous. hmm.gif
user posted image

How much you bought the tires? rclxms.gif

If i remember correctly,
I'm running both front @ -0.50, both rear @ -1.0.
steering feel too light is it because of great steering feedback/input?
run-in your tires (500km above) and you will enjoy every moment with it biggrin.gif

i bought them at rm260 per pc after trade in with my old tyre. Actual price is rm310. It quite good deal so quickly2 i take it.

OOooo..maybe that why i feel my steering very light. Maybe i gotten use with my old tyre behavior. But ok la, new experience laugh.gif . So your camber set more negative than my setting. Will change to that setting at my next alignment service.

Oh, quite good price on that. thumbup.gif

By da way, last week end i bought black magic wet shine wax. I tried it and found this product is not bad. What i like is
- wax smell good
- give contrast to car paint (how to put this..in bahasa, naik warna cat)
- give good water beads
- long lasting than soft99. Soft99 after one car wash can feel no wax already.

But the down side is
- it hard to buff off. U must 'gosok' many2 time at the same spot to shine it.
- i dont feel the car look wet.

Well here are the pic...

i got one question...

when doing high speed braking (it's over 100km/h) the steering vibrates... vibration is quite strong... but when the speed slow down below 100km/h the vibration gone completely... the vibration doesnt change the direction of the car or cause me difficulties in handling the car at straight...

is it a sign of the disc is giving up??? or something else is making trouble??
*
skim your disc rotor and change brake pads.
last time i only skimmed disc rotor but never change brake pads,
same problem come back again after 5xxxkm... shakehead.gif

Someone in Persona Thread has mention below reply:

QUOTE
ersona uses 16bit ECU called ICM but PE uses 32bit BCM (Body control module like in BMW) So that means old persona cant reflash firmware and cant be tuned too. 32bit BCM can be tuned as in idling speed, fuel pressure and a lot more other stuff that the pomen went really technical into. Summary is 32bit ECU really got a lot of potential, not just a white elephant upgrade, can say specs are up to BMW, but a lot of the ECU controls are reserved for future car development.

For those who says that EMS 700 runs on close loop and cant be tuned.. haha.. Wait for our TT session then I can explain more lah..

Why not? But at what cost? Re-flashing isn't cheap since the equipment is expensive. Been discussing this with 'someone' from the Waja thread and in the end, he only do re-flashing for 4g18 since got better market and cheaper equipment.
*
I mean Campro Engine + EMS 700 ECU able to do tuning without any third party device? hmm.gif

QUOTE(sphiroth @ Nov 18 2010, 11:13 PM)
The ECU setting itself is 'locked', only certain parameters can be tuned like idling rpm. Usually the ROM that contains all the mapping is changed (thus what we called re-chip) either to a custom mapping ROM (such as Ralli-Art ROM for Mitsu, Mugen chip for Honda) or a flash-able memory that can be reprogrammed using laptops.

Added on November 18, 2010, 11:13 pmThis what I know and stand to be corrected.

Given an option, I would go for stand alone.
*
thanks for the explanation,
as far as i know only the idling RPM able to tune,
not the fuel pressure and other setting..

of course no issue with your cross drilled and slotted performance disc  smile.gif  .
for best result, performance brake pad need to pair with performance disc rotor; lesser fade effect and solid feel.
also, it require a slightly longer warm up time for optimum performance.
try bendix metal king titanium on any non-performance stock disc rotor and you will noticed more dust produced compare to using non-performance brake pad.
from my experience, it will shortened the stock rotor lifespan.
*
Yeah, agreed on what you said.
after few round of hard braking,
you will really feel the difference, amazing. biggrin.gif
