ill b entering in jan and got my tickets and stuff all ready... only left with the pickup and accommodation selection....

I think it pretty much depends on the airport you arrive at.... I arrived at london heathrow and basically you have the usual green and red lanes... Went through the green lane and it was totally unobstructed, meaning no custom officers or check counters... only a couple of large xray machines to scan all the passengers. I brought a whole box containing maggi seasoning, instant noodles and even some liquid sauces... No issues whatsoever...
As for compact disc, i have many frens who brought over loads of pirated dvds and none have been caught so far, so its totally up to you... But i brought only genuine disc over, just to be safe.... Again, its alrite as long they dont check your luggage...
Lastly, they dont check your pc so no worries as its some kind of breach of privacy(i think) unless they suspect something....

ps. you can probably get the chili sauce here anyway.... will be surprised at the number of asian products....
