For the new Xeons, they are somewhat identical to our E8200/E8400 smile.gif
In the US where some of them couldn't get the E8400, they went for the Xeon and it overclocks just as well.
*
not just in the US here also...
hmm yo raymond mind telling me ur idle speed?im getting way 55c on standard idle after bios update...that why i revert back my oc..maybe this wat you say on the phone the other day bout temp quite high?oh btw im using tuniq tower to cool it down.. cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

Just like the E8400's, they can boot up at very high clock speed and benchable but it's a little challenging to get it stable smile.gif
*
yea...me and raymond running almost the same spec...
so raymond i guess this problem that we are facing is related to the mobo?immatured?i browse arround i dont see any one having problem with e3110 booting up at 1.35v and above..maybe the x48 is still having some imcompatibility and cant boot at 1.35v and above, and that is why it unstable..
hmm i gotta do more reading on this dfi x48 still havent figured out lots of thing, and also bout the e3110.. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

that is quite hot for that speed..

look at real temp,61-62c that is full load...occt you have to minus 10...its consider ok for 3.8ghz on air cooling..

hmmm im a quad user now or else surely more or less will be getting same speed as you...
oh ya sorry have to abandon your advice cstkl1 coz dfi tech and also raymond confirm with me that e8400 having same symptom as e3110 so no choice have to go for q6600 and now running stable at 3.6ghz
dfi tech support is so marvelous, they really care for their customer...

QUOTE(lichyetan @ Sep 1 2008, 01:28 AM)
actually its depends, my wc delta for my GPU much more lower thn my CPU, GPU 3c delta, CPU 10c-13c for prime95. A higher delta for intel burn-in test, around 15-17c for intel burn in test maximum stress.... using 2x mcp650, 2x mcr220qp, dtek fuzion v1 with 4.4mm nozzle and aquaxtreme mp-01... mayb its proc's IHS or hotter proc gua...

my proc is Q9550 OC'ed to 3.622ghz with 1.34vcore...

bad temps  cry.gif
*
wah 9550 need quite a high vid core eh to be on 3.6...i was thinking of changing my proc 9450 to 9550 coz was thinking its much better oc might get 1.2-1.3v on 4ghz,lucky didnt jump to it..
