some question here.. i bought my new parts.. E7300 stock cool+ Gigabyte GA EP43-DS3L.. 2GB kingston Ram 800mhz.. 9600GT Zotac..CM460 watt power supply..

my problem is y whenever i do system stressing my pc will freeze there? prime95 super hang.. IBT sometimes can and sometimes cant.. shud i dun care bout this?? hmm.. or is this kind of test is only suitable for OC machines?? =.= then maybe im a noob.. i never OC my machine.. =.=

nope.. i never OC.. running on stock hsf.. Prime fail like hell.. the moment it start it freezes... sighs..

at last.. send it back all the way to cycom.. sighs.. =( the main suspect is still the mobo..

i got a question regarding ocing.. i dun understand y i cant even pass streesing test when i oc.. im not doing heacy oc.. OCCT,prime..all fail me.. IBT sometimes can pass.. super PI pass.. does dat mean my machine is not stable?? i just newly bought for 1months++ only.. lol

my specs, hope sifus will help..

C2D E7300 cooled by Deepcool ice balde pro, Gigabyte ep43 mobo, zotac 9600gt, 2x2gb kingston hyper X 1066mhz, cm extreme power 460watts, 80GB pata HDD (very old Hdd)

my settings are 7.5 x 400 = 3.0mhz,ram freq=533. dramcpu ratio 3:4
pcie=100mhz
vcore=1.3000v
vdimm=1.9v

i suspect is either my hdd fail me for being too old or my psu not enuff to stablise my pc.. i hope to get an answer so im not lost

ok does dat mean even i bought a new PSU i still put my vcore=1.3000v and vdimm=1.9?

hmm.. i did up a bit of vcore to around 1.320-1.340 v.. eventually i pass the OCCT test!

after a few failure i up my vcore lil by lil.. and now does it consider stable?

so to simplify it does u mean this?

ram freq i tune it back to 400mhz instead of 533mhz?
vcore to stock? even i up my muti and fsb?
vdimm put how much?

yes... izzit some vista problem? bcoz it cache a lot of my memory.. so funny.. and my bsod problem is something like memory dump...bla bla..

a fren of mine said the posibility shud be my hdd... its the oldest thing in my rig.. PATA hdd.. i used to had some problems wif dat hdd last time.. but suddenly ok already.. so i tot its stable to use,..

and my ram timing is 5-5-515 @2.0v.. is dat consider safe? kinston hyper x 2x2gb 1066mhz.. i think dats the default timing i shud use..

if i need cpu dram ratio 1:1.. i need to clock the ram back to 800mhz rite? bcoz currently im using 7.5x400bus speed... lol.. im lost again haiz..

and another thing is i just install my vista ultimate today. previously was using xp wif NO PROBLEM on the free/available memory.. and yes this vista is pasar malam rm10 rinnggit stuff... =p

oh.. u really mean this caching thingy is NORMAL?? phew.. sigh of relief.. i tot is some sort of stupid error lor.. but how bout my bsod? overclock problem? occt pass like flying colors.. lol.. 3dmark 10k points..

its random like shit.. this afternoon got 3 times.. but now dun have.. and the funny thing is i only get bsod when surfing and doing light applications.. i play Far Cry for an hour no problem wor.. damn funny lor.. lol

gigabyte ep43-ud3l.. well i actually bouhgt a new hdd now.. already install vista.. set vdimm to 2.2v.. 5-5-5-15 timing.. so i guess its no problem for now lor..

hopefully.. finger crossed.. =(

yeah.. i conclude the problem is PSU!! damn.. i put back to load optimized defaults in bios wif disable EIST n C1E.. now testing still havent bsod..
so my psu is really suk.. haiz... spend rm130 for my hdd.. T.T
