Currently highest OC is 3.5GHz at 389x9 1.55v stable. Cooled with a S1283. temps were really high... reaching 71'c-73'c...
but now, for daily use it's 3.2GHz at 400x8 1.4v stable. temps are 56-58'c load.
Help??

Anyone got advice on vcore settings for highest OC with a Q6600 running on a P35-DS3? on either 7x/8x/9x multipliers?

QUOTE(enson @ Aug 10 2008, 08:56 PM) already tried vcore from 1.35v-1.55v. only one that was stable with is 1.55. so, how leh?tried 1.40v-1.55v with 438x8.. also can't boot.. any ideas why? currently running 3.5GHz but now temps go down to 66~69'c. better than before.. which vcore should i take note of? in bios or in CPU-Z? QUOTE(cschun86 @ Aug 12 2008, 04:53 PM) WC are cooler if you willing to spend over RM1k+ for the entire set, going to do some mod on my waterblock 1st... then maybe later will test it again and see where It gets me... hopefully it'll do me some good and might lower my temps to under 65'c at 3.5GHz...or else, stick with AC still the best choice... |

QUOTE(uzairi @ Aug 19 2008, 07:32 PM) For my quad, im using 400 x9 settings on my P35 DS3 board. hehehe... good for you bro... my wc set is sold already.. so, now have to wait till i can go for wc again... maybe by then might be using Qx already... hehehe...3.6ghz at 400 x9 1.4875v bios set. load temps with sp2004 x4 would reach 70c. folding load max 58c. btw im using watercooling to cool this quad beast your vcore are really low for that settings leh... i tried 3.6 (400x9) 1.45-1.58v, but still wasn't stable enough.. I'm just putting it to a guess that my rams might be some of the cause.. only TVR leh... hehehe... but planning to get heat spreaders for them sometime soon.. so, see how... hehehe.. |

QUOTE(Boldnut @ Jul 1 2012, 09:11 PM) 1. pointless anyway, 400FSB it is out of mobo spec, i wouldnt bother running something out of mobo spec. 333 would do good. I got 16 multi, = if use 333FSb =333x16 = 5.333GHz, no way a CPU can hit that high lol. I've got a question. Currently using the GByte G41M-ES2L, running a Q6600 @ 3.08 @ 334x9 @ 1.344v. Used to be able to hit 3.2GHz on my ol P35-DS3... I'm curious, for your 3.66GHz, what voltage did you set in BIOS? Thanks!2. I am using G41 chipset = FSB Cap @ 340. 3. Anything above 3.8GHz voltage requirement skyrocket. I need to hit 1.34-1.35v to get it stable @ 3.83GHz 4. Currently I settle @ 1.29v (0.01v above stock = 1.28v) @ 3.66GHz. all good enough |
