it was not same, in intel quadcore, i have tried before..
let say at 4ghz clock, if u use 1600mb of memory, a quadcore will finish 1 loop of ibt test at around 3x sec, while a dualcore will need 7x sec.
as u all know when using ibt, the processor will go back to idle before start to calculate another loop, so the quadcore might not fail in the 1st 3x sec and back to idle again.
i have tried a quad can easily pass ibt test at lower voltage easily, but failed in prime95 within 1 hour

yea, it chould be insufficient vnb, vdimm or vcore, but sometime it able to pass ibt 10-20 loops, but not prime95.

Sure? Cause my rams are rated at 800mhz, and if set auto, it will push to 847mhz... thats another  47mhz load. Can my ram withstand it?

Im currently at 3.8ghz on Q9550 E0 using P5Q DLX but having difficulty in getting 4.0ghz

Anyone able to get their Q9550 E0 to 4.0 using P5Q DLX....help would be appreciated. And one more thing, do u guys use OCCT ? I ran OCCT after OC and it keeps on stating CPU too hot but when run on Prime95...no errors

so, tht means i put VTT on auto ? current VTT now has changed to 1.4, does my PLL also have to change to 1.4 as its now at 1.56. Also i increased vcore to 1.375

cpu temp is now idling at 39 but stressing is at highest 70

well i hav a e8600. Managed to clock at 450x10 4.5ghz 1800 fsb air cooling with no fail. I posted it but now closed. Waiting 4 mod to put it here. The testbed was.
Intel core 2 duo E8600
Asus Maximus 2 formula
Coolermaster gemini 2.
I tried 4.6ghz but pc restart. Think temp reachd 100c cuz i set it at that point to restart. But it did run 4 a while cuz playing cod4 just after the oc.

My nb was at 5+. The cputt something was very2 hot. At 84. Anyway. That time when i oc. I just realize that my hsf was not straight and a small gap. Mayb thats the prob of the temp. Well. Its just my luck reaching 4.5. Well now im at 4.75 with fan. Temp reaching 82c with a help of 2 table fan. Ill post some screenshots 2 aftewards when im free 2 go to cc. Just wait.

i know it can get even higher frequency but for ur information this Abit motherboard is not as good as the biostar one ... when running extreme FSB after few hour i use i will freeze screen or hang .. so i decided to just hang it at 4.4ghz as this is my everyday PC. i dun hope that my e8400 die so soon.
