i think for those sigma chipset same. refer to the acryan and WD TV thread also.

of coz u must use ur windows to format , but when u plug to the eaget player, it will keep asking u to format using the player, and u will not able to use the feature like samba, bt, etc if not using eaget to format.

Eaget format the hardisk to NTFS FYI

if u use eaget player to format, it is still NTFS brother.

u are using the portabla hardisk (2.5") with the 2 USB cable or 1 usb cable ?

for ur info, if ur ext hdd using 2 usb cable, u need to plug 2 usb cable to the device to get enough power.

electric shock got relate with ur ext hdd.

i remember the M850 is wiith 1 USB port.
if u wan get ur external hardisk with 2 usb cable work, u have to use another type of ext hdd which using one usb cable only.

WMV file i test tomorrow. moving house, will try get some wmv file online. or "wildlife.wmv" file in win7 u can play ?

u mean the .avi with srt external subttitle or embeded subtitlte.

u try press subtitle on remote contorl, "text encoding choose "unicode" to try.

or u can download the lattest casablaca firmware which i state at first post. (u download next few days, the hosting server maintenance again).

the latest casablaca firmware can auto download the chinese subtitle for u2.

what is your firmware version ? or give me sample flav file so i can try it.

if you want to use the external subtitle.
make sure the file name same as the movie file.

example:

Movie.avi
Movie.srt

movie1.mkv
movie1.srt

X5 remote control no more

it depends your LCD screen for ur info, if you are using Full HD LCD, you can adjust to 1080P 60hz, set the auto zoom to "off" in the setting and try.

not sure your 2nd problem, pls try more.

you sure you are format the hardisk using the eaget ? so you can use the Recording feature, it not need to seperate the drive since no point. you can seperate your files by folders.

the fan noise high?

warranty can repair the PCB during the warranty period. sorry no have the "hdd tray" available for sale.

1. can google search your LCD model then.

2. you want to record to specific drive ? never test before but you can go to Setup>REC section and choose if there is other option or not.
if you are using internal hardisk to format then please format using the Eaget first.

3. it is normal, when load=fan spinning fast, when idle= fan in slow mode.

part like remote control can get, if no have stock then need wait for Eaget side. we support on PCB for the warranty.
some of the part like remote control also cover. just your previous case - HDD Tray we not able to get anymore.
