i have this problem too, mostly music videos cant be played, anyone have similar problem?

do i need to upgrade to giga lan router?

Can it allow multiple partition creation? or it automatically just create a "C" drive? I don't have enough disk to copy all 1TB movies....are there any programs or ways to create a FAT partition in the same hard disk?

manage to view eaget hard disk from pc but only see my computer name in eaget player, when want to connect still get net user id and password.

just finish getting the pc setting online with m9. That thing got different name "VENUS". thanks to zhen for clarification...good support bro...hopefully it can last as the warranty time...hehe..3 years support.

I tried this yesterday and I found that for MV(music video) i.e. Lady Gaga Born This Way cannot be played. But if play others which are not MV i.e. video that people post up, then it's ok. Not sure why.....

Just got my M7 from yongkeen last night.  Thanks for staying over to pass it over to me yesterday.  The unit is working fine.  No internet yet in my place so just using it to watch HD videos.  Great set.  Only complaint so far is the remote I have to point exactly at the media player for it to register.  Infra red technology is so yesteryears.  Any future upgrade of remote control that has better coverage?

Is it anyway I can set wireless ip manually under wireless setup? 

As I don't want my modem to have DHCP enable.

Yes, go to IMS, but my list only with You Ku, Voole, PPS, Weather and RSS News

Hi I've bought the M9 player from lowyat kiosk today. First off the sales not really knowledgeable in answering questions and it was quite a drawn off..anyway long story short when I plug in the power source power on following the steps from manual. The standby button light keep blinking and it simply doesn't respond. Just want to check is there anyway to troubleshoot this or I should just return the unit and get a new replacement? Need your kind advice thanks..

Hi Zhen Wei, I bought an M6 from you more than a year ago. great product,and just love it. but now i'm having problems with it.

1. after pressing the on button,after M6 displaying eaget logo,the screen just go blank. until i plug out and plug in the HDMI cable then only I can see the menu.

2. having problems copying files between HDD and ext HDD and ext HDD to ext HDD. keep on coming with the error "USB removed"

zhen^wei, I flash to the lastest Eaget M9 firmware that provided by you, and I do notice the lastest firmware they removed ALMOST all the IMS except Voole, youtube, youku, and a useless PPS. Can I have old firmware back? eg. tv.sohu is very good, they shouldn't get it remove. Really hope they will add those back on later firmware, even they are unusable in Malaysia, who knows some user might run China/HK VPN server to watch online-streaming. Hope you can host back the old firmwares.

Okay, I've manage to add hdpfans IMS into Eaget M9 with firmware "M9 : V20110120A" provided by Zhen^Wei.
~I tried to use the lastest firmware which is more clean, but... it's only clean out-side, inside the got tonnes of .rss files, and I can't figure out which is the one controlling the IMS menu. so... I gave up and use "M9 : V20110120A" firmware instead.

Very easy, use follow the instruction from http://www.hdpfans.com/thread-5792-1-1.html but FEW things, after "cp" (copy) into the new etc/scripts folder, just rm (remove) the [map] and [weather] folder, coz they consume most of the space, and they are totally useless tools. edit the menu_eaget_m9.rss with "vi", and OVERRIDE the weather link, follow the instruction on the http://www.hdpfans.com/thread-5792-1-1.html, BUT try to skip the "echo" part, if you do, thou it will works, but it only work after "30" seconds of sleep. so.. try to "vi /usr/local/etc/rcS" and add the "mount -o bind /usr/local/etc/scripts /usr/local/bin/scripts" on top of #wait HDD mount. So that you don't need to wait the HDD to wake-up, but can immediately access to the editted IMS menu.

~why adding hdpfan to IMS? reason, it comes with alot of custom online stream, which includes US, Japan, HK, and more...
