Have any 1 try Mac osx86 on A42JV?

Most of the game can be run on full setting without lag on A42JV.

i tested game such as SC2 (ultra), NFSU (all high) without problem.

did any1 tested with crysis?

any tutorial to improve the performance of A42JV further more ?

This laptop is certainly worth the price in terms of the specs

no $$ for a GTS or GTX laptop gpu

between did any 1 found suitable screen protector for A42JV.
as A42JV is wider compare to other 14" laptop

is keypad protector same as keyboard protector?
if yes,then there are silicon keyboard protector.

can take picture?

between, any 1 know where is the best place to do custom laptop skin?

borrow from ur friend who own a OEM win 7 disk
same edition then the key on the bottom of the laptop will be working.

haha....den time for "ahem" windows edition to do the job.

between,after i update my driver to 258.xx

after some time using A42JV, the screen sometime will flicker on windows when i resume from sleep.

but after i restart the problem gone.
I wonder why it sometime flickering does occur.

After seeing this,dont fell like dare to flash bios edi =X

After purchase asus laptop,did the warranty automatic started by the day u purchase or must i go go asus website to register for by product for the warranty?

i bought mine for 2400, add another 150 for 2Gb ram from digtral also =D

Not a bad idea =) , A42JV owner reporting in

Anyway...seems like the touch pad is A42JV and G51Jx is totally different.
The surface of G51Jx is smoother than A42JV but G51Jx does not have multitouch ( can set special function with 2 finger tapping,3 finger tapping and so on for A42JV)

I set mine to

2 finger : Pop out menu
3 finger : return to desktop

i use a lot of 2 finger scrolling up and down too.
however, i found that scrolling right and left with 2 finger need careful scrolling.

I wondering why the touch pad does not have pinch in pinch out(zoom in zoom out feature)

How nice if A42JV have backlit keyboard just like G52Jx, but white colour backlit seems weird too.

Asus A series laptop have sunken hinge design...so cant possible upgrade to 8 or 9 cell battery right?

Asus G series battery smaller than A series but have longer battery life? wtf =X

Actually how difference comparing GT335M and GT425M.
I mean as in real life application?

Is DX 11 a lot better than DX10.1?
If so,how well?
Just wondering...any 1 can clear my thoughts?

Oh..just found out that GT425M dont come with many laptop model yet.
At least now happy with A42JV upgraded to 4GB ram i bought recently =) .
Actually want a 15 inch laptop,but only got A52JC with 310M. So finally choose A42JV mainly because of the gpu.


The A42JA specs so nice. Why i did not wait longer a bit huh =(
A42JV have such crappy build in audio speaker. Dont really hear the difference of SRS premium sound.
Nowadays so many laptop comes with crappy Altec Lansing Speaker.

My friend Satellite M500 Harman Kardon speaker sound so nice =)
