i dun remember the HDD temperature...need to go home and check...it is 5400rpm...i feel that 5400rpm and 7200rpm is not worth the upgrade unless you want to put in bigger hardisk...and as astria said,
7200rpm even more heat but I think its negligible...
I prefer WD because I only experience with WD and Seagate... so far, both WD and Seagate serve me well but statistically
nowaday Seagate hardisk failure rate is quite high among forumer...
