Hah.. Now my lappie using U2 Cooler now lol.. I helped my bro to buy for his XPS 1530 which have heating issues but it doesn't work for him as good as the X-lite which I bought last month... So he wanna substitute with me LOL...

To be honest, U2 isn't as amazing as I thought it would be.... Doesn't help much also...

Well, they do sell individual (additional) fans for the U1, U2 as well as U3 
The cooling effect of the CM U series would differ from laptop to laptop imho. My Qosmio has LOADS of heat vents underneath, which probably explains why the cooling is so good

well, if it's High Performance means that a lot of the in-built function of the CPU is disabled... this include the likes of EIST... i am not surprised if Turbo Boost is turned off as well since theoratically speaking, 2 cores are still better than 1 core...

hi, got my A42Jv last week, and loving every inch of it..... but i hv few questions here.

1)  i previously bought MS Office 2007 (original - for my previous laptop) last year and found out that the A42Jv is MS office 2010 (starter)..
     do i need to uninstall MS office 2010 b4 installing MS office 2007? or i can just ignore and install MS office 2007 immediately?

2) I read previous posts that A42Jv HDD is a bit unreliable (failing suddenly, sounds coming frm the HDD), is this a minority case or is very common
    among A42Jv owners? due to it would b a headache if my HDD failed suddenly and my data all lost

3) what is SMART? and is it built-in for the A42Jv? or i need to install 3rd party software frm the internet?

they prefer me take Acer 5741G, i5 520M + Nvidia GT320M@2999..
GT320M izit better than GT335M?
they said GT320M can boost to 2700MB bla bla bla.. then the new Acer 4741G with GT 420M is lousy than GT320M coz GT420M just boost up to 1027MB bla bla bla..
i'm noob on this stuff..

yeah...i really love this elan smart pad thing...it's one of the best feature available...maybe other notebooks also got this type of feature la..but this is my first notebook...hehe...

JB has A42JV stock, so KL should have... the boost thing he talking about is the ram... which is kinda stupid... so he's blatantly
trying to cheat you... If you want, it might be a better idea to take the GT 420m cause its better and also has Dx11 support.

nvidia geforce 310m cuda 1gb,

when i play game the movemnt responds late, but da graphics is ok..
it doesnt show its using da graphic card at dxdiag..
i already install the driver 258.96 from da nvidia website and reformat..
but at dxdiag it still shows that its not using it and it still legs..

i hav a friend who has da same model but da 14 inch using ATI,
we set da same setting but mine's legging but his is smooth..

hopefully some1 can help ASAP..

More than a week in active usage, my A42JV started to emit high pitch noise yesterday

very damn close, if you are using a 3g modem, you cant use the damn jack. piss me off lol. pity i only need 2 ports at one time, if not have to buy extension for it :/

that's y N82Jv/Jq and A42Jv are a disappointment compared to N80V/N81V...

these 2 have a whopping 5 USB ports...

What's wrong with comparing A42Jv & N81Vp, and also the post did mentioned about N82Jv/Jq

well, A42Jv is basically the same as N82Jv for the chasis...

but for N82J, at least they ve a USB 3.0 port...
