I dun hv the phone no. For direction, if coming fr Kepong, when u reach sg buloh, after the traffic light (which can connect to KD if turn left ) keep left and take the overhead bridge and follow the way to Pusat Kusta (if the direction sign still exist). The whole area has a lot of plant nurseries.

There are many websites about athletic turf fields. You search them on Google by yourself. You can compare them and find out what is right for you.

I am using Le Meadow from Inspire Grass.

https://www.facebook.com/InspireGrassMY

I am using mine at the terrace at the back of my house where my water feature is. The grass has nice rubber backing with lots of holes for water to flow. The underneath does get wet but it dries also quite fast. So as long as your balcony got a pipe to drain the water the water should drain out from the grass and out easily. When you lay the grass do not block the water outlet hole only lah.

However I not sure about the water flow on other brands of artificial grass.

It is normally RM 15/sq ft but they had done a project and had lots of wastage. So i got it at about RM 9 per sq ft. If you PM me I can give you the salesgirls number and you can check on wastage status. Only issue with wastage is is you cannot get one big piece for you garden you may need to join and make do with what they have.

I'm also very keen to know.
I have a pretty large balcony, maybe around 300 sq ft where I intend to do some landscaping.
Artificial turf is currently on my mind, but not sure if there are any disadvantages of doing so.

elegant grass , lot 64 sg buloh now promo-ing synthetic artificial grass @ RM4/sq
the lot 62 also carry and is RM 8/sq

both actually add up about the same. the synthetic grass quite similar. only elegant charges abit more for the installation while lot 62 installation price is cheap. so more or less balanced out. i've used both before. both also similar in terms of service and pricing.

laying synthetic grass on tiles and all (concrete, simen, marble, wood etc etc), quite straight forward. but if u require outdoor removal of your actual grass, then abit mafan. same goes if u wanna grass up your pillars and walls. that is the most expensive installation u pay for. walls and pillars installation whether lot 62 or lot 64 also quite same. just that lot 62 grass expensive but installation cheap while lot 64 grass cheap installation expensive.

variety wise, elegant grass got more variety. they now have the cute cute strands similar to putting green type. not priickly but the price fuuuuuuuu. around RM 16/sq dei. and only for indoor, not for outdoor. catered to those ada $$$$ lor i suppose.

pricing based on august 2015. now dec i dunno, mebbe price increase or reduce, but i pass by everyday and the only thing i can confirm is that elegant grass @ lot 64 is now promo @ RM4/sq . i dunno wat grass, i oredi got liao no point to change mine yet.

But do I just pluck the grass, and lay down the synthetic? Or need to cement first?

Lazada & 11street got many choices.

Mr DIY & Daiso Too but they come in smaller pieces.

I remember few shops selling them in rolls like carpet or table clothes.

The problem is these stuffs are impossible to clean especially if you put them outdoors.

Yeah mr diy and daiso sell small patches only.

Kaison comes in 10 sqm rolls. Just asking if anybody here had it installed. But I know I'd get a better price from Sg Buloh or somewhere.

What do you mean impossible to clean? It wont be different to maintaining any other type of artificial grass would it?

coz if you put outdoor, you have difficulty even with vacuum cleaners on the dust. the water, might dry up might not, but bacteria & germs & even mold may start growing. even if the surface is dry, the bottom will bound to have water. so you need to flip it up to dry once a while.

Caring for synthetic lawn maintenance involves the day-to-day management of what happens to your lawn. Most stains that fall upon artificial grass are removable — still, it’s better to avoid stains and damage to artificial turf in the first place.

Hi all, please check out IG - Greenfields.my_ or fb - Greenfields.my if anyone is interested to install premium quality 40mm grass for their outdoor. Reasonable price around rm12/sq ft depending on location. Thanks!
