I did my car tint at Sean's Puchong branch a few weeks ago. Sean is professional, as anyone who has ever communicated with him would know. However, I can't say the same for his staff at the branch.

I originally scheduled with Sean an appointment at 10.00am - no specific package mentioned, as Sean told me to come in and see for myself which tint would suit me best. I had to reschedule it to 12pm-ish a few days before the day of the appointment, and Sean said no problem, just come in.

So I came in at 12.30pm, spoke to his sales staff, Stephanie, settled on a RM550 tint package. For benefit of the doubt, it's perhaps 1.15pm by now. Was told by Stephanie that it should take around 3 hours. So I said, "cool, here's my keys, I'll come back in about 3 hours."

When 4.00pm rolled by, I still have not heard from Stephanie. So I called up the shop and asked if my car is ready, she said, perhaps they need another hour or so. I said, "cool, but could they expedite it please as I have dinner plans and need to leave by 6pm."

I made probably another 2 calls in between 4.00 and 6.30pm. The only times Stephanie called me was to ask me questions such as, "when we remove your rear tint, the heat strips may come off too. Are you okay with that?" or "there's a small dent on your front windscreen, when the tint is peeled off there is a small possibility the glass will crack. What would you like to do?" (seriously, what can I do? my car should've been inspected and I should've been told all possibilities beforehand, not after having committed to having the tint done, but that's beside the point). No one actually called to say, "hi I'm so sorry but we're still in the midst of doing up your car tint."

To cut a long story short, I finally got my car at 7.15pm, six hours after I sent it in. Sometimes shizz happens (Stephanie says heavy rain la, car blocking shop entrance la etc), and I don't want the workers to rush putting the tint on too but I simply can't accept bad customer service whereby you have this customer you told to come back in 3 hours, but you don't even bother calling the customer to tell her that it will be delayed.

Bad experience all in all. Is the quality of the car tint okay? I can't tell yet, now. Would I recommend my friends to come by? No. Not if you value your time.
