Do hard reset? try it...
What skin she using? Stick onto the body? maybe it stuck onto somewhere important causing it to fail
*
definitely hard reset to solve the problem smile.gif
btw, did she install any app before this problem occur?...
if yes and is on memory card, remove the memory card then boot...backup your contacts and stuff, then reinstall the firmware, btw, remove the app that you think has cause that problem...coz as long as the app is there, this problem will persist smile.gif
hard reset press call button, end button, camera button and power button together...

correction: should be Symbian^1, not Symbian 2  smile.gif
IMO, not possible to replace S^1 with S^3, due to limitation of hardware
*
not only limitation of hardware...Symbian though said to be open-source is still acting like propritary software...haih...hence conclusion is definitely nooo...

I don't think a phone with a hardware keyboard like C6 will need this software...it works fine but it is just unnatural to swipe around when typing a message...I still use the basic keyboard in the end...but I hope they will make a potrait mode qwerty like iPhone... that would be better  hmm.gif

not good for resistive

Well, as long as its triple the ease of use. Even iPhone 3Gs will be enough for her.

Bottom line is that Nokia C6 left a bad impression. Not really a good way to win new user.
*
C6 might have left a bad impression but through my experience on Nokia phones since std 3...I have a few conclusion to make.
Nokia phones are by far the most durable phone.
Nokia phones are built specifically for every model hence there's no all-in-one/the perfect phone.
anyway, get her send it back to NCC. I'm sure they'll fix it in no time. That would change her impression on Nokia devices.

lol? What generation phone got limit o...  rclxub.gif
Come to think of it, Nokia X6 also got 999 limit...but will any sane person keep that many  hmm.gif
*
X6 999 messages limit only applies to sent messages. I have thousands of messages even on my good old E65. There's no limit on the inbox of Nokia X6 or C6 or any Symbian phones smile.gif

haha..ya..C6 got no limit. now mine already 2679 msges. xD

but there's a limit to the sent messages. If you hadn't notice, the settings in messages shows that the maximum number of sent messages saved is 999.

since this phone support up to 16GB. then should be fine for 4, 8, 16 GB.
*
Thereotically, C6-00 should support all cards with SDHC label. It is suppose to support up to 32gb (maximum in market) unless the software limits it from doing so. smile.gif Who knows, maybe Nokia do evil by setting a limit in memory capacity support but so far I haven't heard of such things happening so if anyone can try out with a 32gb card, please keep this forum informed smile.gif

+- 2 hours if from 0% to full. usually less since the charger output by Nokia nowadays are very high.
