If u need the full qwerty keyboard then go for c6 le
U wan full touchscreen then go for x6

Has anyone used Skype on C6 yet? I did some googling and realised that there're some errors and problems being reported relating to the use of Skype.

Ah! I see. Actually i just needed to use C6 for a Wifi enabled chat (Skype etc), which will save me tons of money (cos i will be calling my friends at home with wifi connection).

Why dun u use ur pc ?

because with C6 it's more mobile & you can simply move anywhere that you want while Skype-ing ?

*sighs* This is the only hurdle that pulls me back from purchasing this phone. If it works, i'll get it like, immediately, man.

NO WAIT! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!! IT WORKS!? Now this is some..wonderful news! Cos my google searches returns me with C6 users complaining that they can't install/use Skype etc etc.

Let me do a recap checklist with you:
1. You went to www.skype.com/m using your C6 to download and install the program, right? (Cos some other users reported that they get the error message "Sorry, Skype is unavailable for your mobile. We add new handsets all the time so check back soon.")
2. Is your phone Nokia C6-00 or Nokia C6-01?
3. You're able to make free Skype to Skype calls using wifi?
4. Is your C6 updated to the latest firmware?

Sorry for the...bombardment of questions LOL, cos i'm really exhiliarated. I even contempated on getting two E72's already. But since now you gave me hope, i'll reconsider my decisions again

1. It's available in OVI Store, downloaded it from there of course I am able to install & use Skype flawlessly.

2. Nokia C6-00 of course this thread is for that amazing phone, right?

3. Yep, free Skype to Skype calls via WIFI.

4. Latest firmware , 20.0.041 !

Wah, this is epic news for me! Well...it is, because it's the first priority for me that the phone is Skype supported. Now i've got the green lights from you, hmm... this would be it.

Anyways, thanks! Oh, does this phone pose any other problems, such as frequent hangs or other annoying issues?

I read somewhere that Skype's not the only choice. There's like Fring. And i heard video calling is now supported by Fring. Correct me if i'm mistaken

My gf just did a little asking around a mall in penang, and she told me it's about RM900.

Yes I'm using both Fring & Skype! Well, but if I want to Skype with others, I rather use Skype because Fring is full with ads some are NSFW.
