2 | Udinese | 11 | 30
3 | AC Milan | 15 | 28
4 | Lazio | 11 | 28
5 | Napoli | 8 | 21
6 | Palermo | 0 | 20
7 | Internazionale | -1 | 20

yup we're starting to climb now, reaching 7th position with only goal disadvantage to 6th, palermo. 5th seems not hard to catch but take a long time if we wanna go to 4th, good thing is gap between 1st and 4th is only 2 points.

matches before the long break:

Week 15
AC Milan v Siena
Catania v Palermo
Cesena v Internazionale
Juventus v Novara
Lazio v Udinese
Napoli v AS Roma

Week 16
Cagliari v AC Milan
Udinese v Juventus
Internazionale v Lecce
Lazio v Chievo Verona
Napoli v Genoa
Novara v Palermo

well, we have big chance *supposedly* to get easy 6 points in next 2 matches, with cesena and lecce are now being 18th and 20th, though we were beaten by 19th - novara. udinese will face toughest fixtures among them with 2 opponents in big 4, hopefully the results will do favour to us. besides that, we just hope napoli will slip against roma and genoa and we can get goal advantage against palermo, then by the end of this year we'll be sitting in 5th with close gap to 4th and 3rd. hopefully smile.gif

Looks very much a long way to climb back to the top. But hey, we're Inter for a reason !
Hopefully this two very valuable wins would provide us the backbone for further victories.
Taking one game at a time, Cesena away looks very daunting when we visit them last season. And their form in past 5 league games has been tremendously well. The partnership between Lucio and Samuel is almost but not quite there to the standards 2 years ago. Even the pairing of Motta and Cambiasso in the middle is gelling quite well in the past 2 games.
Our youngsters, Faraoni, Obi, Coutinho have shown great great strides in making it to the first team.
Forlan played extremely well(Better than Pazzini or Milito or both combine) to say the least, in only his first 10 minutes since 2 months ago.
Only negatives we can afford to see now is the ever deteriorating striker in Milito. He has been really really disappointing in almost every game he plays now. The management i think will look into selling him in January.
So far, we could look forward positively into Cesena's game. And hey, a win here will put us in the same points as we had last season. laugh.gif
Not too bad aye ?

Our youngsters, Faraoni, Obi, Coutinho have shown great great strides in making it to the first team.

don't forget our new Pirlo, Andrea Poli who got and deserved praise from Ranieri biggrin.gif

I visited Inter's website and found out fact that made me have to admit I made a poor judgement for my opinion before that we need more decent young player, since we have Ranocchia (born 1988), Faraoni (1991), Ricardo Alvarez (1988), Andrea Poli (1989), Joel Obi (1991), Coutinho (1992), Castaignos(1992), plus caldirola (1991) and crisetig (1993) are still looking to break in, we only need to give these players playing hours. that's A LOT of promising youngsters biggrin.gif

Yea, I expected much from Forlan and I knew he has everything to fill in goalscorer's position for us. Forlan Zarate might be an interesting pair, if Zarate is still not up to standard, Ranieri can deploy him as a lone striker with 5 midfielders behind him, but I expect Zarate will start to gel and perform better, good thing is zarate is still 24y.o. this year. I personally don't regard Pazzini high since his arrival and Millito might deserve a few more games or well we can say he's done after his series of awful performances.

6 points from Fiorentina and Genoa, being in 7th and great chance to be 5th before the break, I couldn't ask more from the team and Ranieri after shocking start earlier in this season. Besides Ranieri, tribute should be given much to Motta for the turnaround *imo*

and that's an epic picture of Japanese soldier and Argentinian commander biggrin.gif

6 | Napoli | 6 | 21

yeah, table looks better now, napoli and palermo were beaten, lazio and udinese share a point, series of good results for us last week. Julio Cesar was totally man of the match.

Week 16
Cagliari v AC Milan
Udinese v Juventus
Internazionale v Lecce
Lazio v Chievo Verona
Napoli v Genoa

let's hope cagliari and udinese can stop ac milan and juventus next week, we can secure the result against lecce at home, and we shorten 10 points-gap with the 1st.

Yes. We're almost to the top. Lecce next. This one if we dont win comfortable then i really dont know . Haha.
Now its along stretch to the top 4. I believe if we could cut at least the gap to 6 points by new years end, we might have that elusive chance
of the scudetto. Heres to that optimistic chance.
Now it looks like Pazzini is looking far more worst than Milito. But still the both of them are a far cry to the strikers that should be starting in a team like Inter. Hopefully this run of bad form from will end soon or we might just need to reinforce some players.

Great, Udinese managed to hold Juventus, now they share top of the table with AC milan with only goals disadvantage. Gap is 11 points now, so the maximum we can achieve is 8 points gap before the break with them.

Our turn, hope the lads make us proud tonite !

looked really much better now thumbup.gif only 4 points gap with lazio, I can't wait for derby next month. that'll be the real measurement how far the team has already progressed under Ranieri. hopefully sneijder will be ready by then.

finally, milito and pazzini got ratings above 7 in Inter's website, after several games before they always had rating lower than 6.

Pazzini: "Sorry but I have to run..."
Congratulation, Pazzini ! what an amazing day he had biggrin.gif

Congrats on Pazzo. Shows how much professionalism he has in himself to appear for game while his wifes in labour.
Hopefully this long break gives us more time to evaluate and recuperate our injured stars. The return of Sneijder brings more grit to the attack. But our defence can be quite worrying at times. Our full-backs are always on the run forward which gives ample amount of space in the back line. Tops for Julio Cesar for his fine fine performance this few games.

A must win Parma game, morale must be better now that Sneijder is playing again. Hopefully Forlan wil be up for it too.
This game gives us the boost for next week's derby so 3 points tonight is a must.

bright 2012 start here we got ! millito finally got his touch back, our attacking line is getting better and better, hope the best for the derby now. unfortunately among current big 4 only lazio who lost the point. anyway ricardo alvarez keep reminding me about Kaka even since his first appearance with Inter when he was still criticized as a slow player and now poli remind me of pirlo biggrin.gif

sorry for not updating this thread as much as liked to, a-levels turning out to be harder than i thought. haa!

Anyway the Derby Della' Madonnina tonight! Im super stoke for this. But also extremely worried that our optimism taken into this game is more than what it should be. Alvarez is given the nod ahead of Sneijder.
Its at 3.45 am Monday morning shown live at astro channel 816 and hd i think.
Forza Inter!

a win will bring us 6 points behind juventus. just saw couple of good results for us from competitors, it's the momentum. I guess it'll be really packed battle in the center of the field, wing backs can play important role here, milan has better combination in strikers, I hope milito wont let us down. forza nerazzurri!

what a first half. Brilliant defending from inter, and a little bit of luck as well. Sneijder or Forlan to come on?

Great support by the fans. Milan derby is one of the best when it come to atmosphere + football. Maybe second to Rome derby, but that because Rome derby is much more hostile and fierce.

MILITTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

What a brilliant finish from Milito.
We soak up the pressure and finished where it matters, Milan really reminded me of the Inter we had a few years back with Ibra.
Kudos to Zanetti at 38 ! He's a legend. And to think he's much much much fitter than me is a little embarassing. HAHA !
