On the issue of Mascherano, I've said that there are always two sides to a coin and we should give him the benefit of the doubt. We cannot treat our own like the MACC treats the people; guilty until proven innocent. Do what you will, but here's what he has to say so far.

Not everyone mate. I for one wish him well and hope he flourishes at Barcelona. If you want to be angry at him, then it's your right. I on the other hand, empathise with him and can only hope that the majority of Liverpool fans display the traits that once made us the most patient fans around.

Firstly, do you know what did they promise and fail to deliver? Who are they?
Secondly, how did he hurt the fans? Particularly how did he hurt you?

I love liverpool FC, however i wont standby injustice will voice out at times. LFC never always got it right. back then the LFc board relieved shankly of his managers post. did they get it right?
they certainly thought so.

only years later we celebrated what Bill Shankly did for LFC, but Shankly was never the same again.
His heart was forever with LFc.

Why did Spain have to play Torres knowing very well that he is just returning to full fitness, the clubs is making all the effort to ensure that he returns to his prolific best and here you have Spain using him when there are many other options out there, come on a Spanish "B" team could have beaten Liechtenstein quite convincingly, was Torres really needed?

Here are some of my general observations. I'm really stumped because for some reason, we can't seem to do what some midtable sides are capable of doing and I don't think it's down to having crappy players.

1) We can't seem to pass the ball accurately, even when it's a 10 yard pass. How often have we seen passes go astray? It's frustrating that our opponents always seem to be able to find their man with a pass even if he's surrounded by 3 players when we sometimes fail to make an open 10 yard pass.
2) Our players don't see the need to support the attack with any real urgency. Each time Torres or Gerrard pick the ball up, it's as though they are on a deserted island. We often end up passing the ball back or giving it away.
3) We lack creativity and imagination going forward. Players often stand around looking somewhat bewildered when given the ball.
4) We are poor at dealing with crosses. I don't know what it is but each time a cross gets pumped in, you get the sinking feeling it's going to lead to a goal.
5) Gerrard's corners are pretty ineffective. How many times do we score from corners? If I were to be critical, we often don't even manage to find a player, let alone score.

Don't mind me, I'm just venting my frustration.

lucas - poulsen,  imagine we can deploy gerrard - meireles. what a big change it could be.

i do agree so far johnson has been so so. like everyone, i do hate his hair. i think a liverpool player should be worried about their on-pitch form rather than how they look in the tele. well torres is exceptional anyway. perhaps he needs longer hair to get back his form? 

back to owners: if we do get loads of cash, why dont we:

1-buy back alonso (alonso issue again!) but wait. imagine alonso-meireles axis. yummy?

2-buy CR7. am i mad? no. he n mourinho were enemies, now they are friends. i guess he wont have any problem with us right? he is unhappy at RM anyway. i would love to see SAF's face if he sees CR& in liverpool's lineup, better still, if he socres. if this does happen, CR will be one liverpool player we love to hate and hate to love. well i could be dreaming anyway
