I dunno but from wat I see, basically Liverpool was going to the stadium of Manchester City looking for a draw instead of a win, not until they were a goal down and there onwards, im afraid its abit too late. Clearly, the Reds are being outshoned by the City tonight.

Majorly, we are -
1. Playing style is predictable and we lack visions and creativity(missiing Cole, any1?)
2. Easily losing ball possesion.
3. We need a strong DM who can break down plays like Mascherano that can release Gerrard without him tracking back too deep to help out defence..
4. CLEARLY, what we lack, most importantly, is LUCK.

Its still early to give up though consider its the 2nd match of the EPL, But then again.. hopefully it doesnt turn out that bad this time..

On a sidenote, I was thinking how Rafa would've set the team up given the circumstances. Probably a 4-2-3-1 with a makeshift holding player next to Lucas. Would we have done better? Perhaps muster a draw? Back then there was a lot of talk on nullifying opponents, in which today's case we failed to contain Johnson and paid the price. Agger and Jovanovic did fairly ok to stop him to a certain degree, but what happened to Lucas and Gerrard? If anything, the first goal was partially Gerrard's fault for allowing Milner (?) so much space.

Liverpool has the quality to win whatever opponents, to be frank.. But somehow, when the game started, they way they play made me feel that they are looking for 1 point instead of 3 points(usually happens on matches with big guns).. Or i would say, afraid to drop points.. But still, We cannot be looking for draws whenever we play with the big boys, right?

IN regards of whether its gerrard fault anot, IM thinking that he has been shouldered with different tasks and responsibilities which causes his dip of form and perhaps mistakes like wat u say?

He's liek an ironman. He needs to track back to defend, He needs to be the one breaking plays, he needs to be the one making plays and spraying passes, he needs to be the one pulling liverpool out from deep shite..

He could have done beter if his task was just to make plays, creating passes and scoring goals without worrying on the defence or well, vice versa. icon_idea.gif
