I think you guys had some tough luck with the EPL schedule this season. Unlike Chelsea who played lower half and newly promoted teams like WBA, Wigan, SC, WH and this week Blackpool, you guys had to play Arsenal, Man City, Birmingham (who ended last season in the top half of the table) and this week Man Utd.
Cheer up and pray hard that you guys beat Man Utd. I'm supporting Liverpool this week as well! |

To all trollers (ie non-liverpool supporters who posts here),
Lets not do unto others what we don't want others to do unto us. We are all followers of teams in the EPL. We have that in common even though we do not support the same team. Teams win and sometimes they lose. Teams go through winning streaks and sometimes they go through bad spells. Teams try to play nice and fair football but sometimes they don't. Every team goes through these at one time or another so lets not rub it in other supporters faces when things aren't going their team's way cos it might happen to your team and you wouldn't want ppl to rub it in your face. To Liverpool fans, Even though I am not a Liverpool supporter but I envy you guys because of the history that Liverpool has and the YNWA mentality that gets you all through the rough times. Most fans of Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea support their clubs because of them winning more often than not in recent years. I doubt you will be able to find that many M'sian supporters of Chelsea before Roman came (with the exception of me!). I admit openly that I enjoy reading this thread because of the well thought out opinions with the occassional reference to Liverpool's history (which I find most enjoyable to read) and even though Liverpool is still going through a rough patch, the passionate fans here stick by them through thick and thin and always remain optimistic with that YNWA mentality. Here's hoping Liverpool find their feet and join Chelsea at the top (of course being a Chelsea fan) but below us Bart |

QUOTE(digilife @ Sep 23 2010, 10:17 AM) I kinda prefer Martin O'Neil for what he has achieved with numerous clubs with minimal budget (eg Celtics and most recently Aston Villa). However I do feel that Liverpool needs a big name manager, ie someone the players respect. Someone the players will be inspired by and will play wholeheartedly for. |

hmm maybe the unwillingness of the current owners to sell is because they think they can accept going into administration (ie deduct 9 points), get relegated (worst case scenario) and do a Newcastle (ie spend a year in the Championship)?
If you remember 2 years ago, Mike Ashley was desperate to sell and he couldn't find a buyer so he held on to Newcastle and even though they were relegated they got their act together in the Championship and now one year later they're back with a bang. |
