QUOTE(normeck @ Sep 12 2010, 09:49 AM) Hong Kong bid leads the way hope that we can sell the club to the right person.Reports suggest a Hong Kong businessman is the most likely current interested party to take control of Liverpool Football Club. Sources at Barclays Capital (BARCAP) who were drafted in by George Gillette and Tom Hicks to oversee the sale process are identifying the individual as a potential successful bidder. There is no suggestion that Kenny Huang, who publicly withdrew his stated interest last month, has come back on to the scene. At present there is also little information on the structure of any proposal though BARCAP will not get involved in offering finance. It is said up to five bidders are at an advanced stage of due diligence. The BARCAP source also revealed frustration at the current owners who were described as "unreachable" and said that "unrealistic valuations are driving us insane." sos : shanklygates |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Sep 13 2010, 08:14 AM) Just to reiterate, for an experience commentator like Martin Tyler to suggest that Reina's saved was reminiscent of the one made my Gordon Banks from Pele, speaks volumes of just how good it was. Banks was one of the finest keepers in the world and that save is still said to be the best ever made. No idea what I mean? Well let me make it easy for you. it is nearly the same thing that reina saved yesterday.. just brilliant!!!This post has been edited by CrossFirE: Sep 13 2010, 08:41 AM |

i think gerrard must go back to midfield along with raul. cole will play behind torres or maybe shift to the left and babel can play alongside with torres.
maybe we could try babel in front of the attacking force and torres just shadowing him. maybe this will create the gap which they will mark torres more than babel and babel can score. |

QUOTE(triple02 @ Sep 17 2010, 04:58 PM) No not Banega or Xavi or Arteta infact. Banega is or can be classified as a box to box and Xavi & Arteta play much higher up the pitch compared to Alonso. so.. if there any chance that if pirlo come to anfield that would mean that we get alonso back? Alonso is essentially a deep lying playmaker, perfect for a diamond midfield .If there was another midfielder that can be classed as a deep lying playmaker that would be Andrea Pirlo of AC Milan. He and Gattuso were equivalent to Alonso and Mascherano if not better during their glory days. both of their qualities meshing perfectly with Gattuso doing all the tackling and making simple passes and Pirlo making to those raking passes to Inzaghi and Shevchenko. doenst it remind us of a midfield that we had a couple of season back? that aside , he was every bit vital in Italy winning the World Cup in 06 as was Alonso for Spain a few months back |
