Any idea when is G53 releasing?

It's either G53 low res version, or the more expensive G73JH with Blu Ray, Hybrid HDD and EAX4.0. I think it still worth the price, as i get quite a lot of extra stuff.

I'll get it local, as i know the guys from Online Computers.

Thats true,though.

Even with the Blu Ray writer on it, i think that extra RM1k is worth it.

It's my call la on either a low res screen G53 that is smaller, easier to carry, or a large G73JH with all the extra bling bling on it.

on the repasting part, i wouldn't worry about it. My machine is only 2 days old, but so far my GPU's highest temp is around 80 which only happens very rarely. My average is around 75-79 .

my CPU temp usually sits at 68-70, never more than 70.

im using stock paste. oh and i've OCed my GPU as well.

edit: my model is g73jw

edit2: on another note, the g73 is a 17incher which means it has ample space for the heat to dissipate. I was surprised at how cool the machine was, i could put in on my lap and not be annoyed by the heat, not like my 15inch and 13inch notebooks.

Well, from what i see G73JW seem to have better pasting, while the old model G73JH didnt.

Not surprised if your temps are good, IMO.

How is it so far?

posted a screenshot from my desktop ;p

not just repasting, it seems the nvidia card runs cooler too, even though it actually consumes more power than the ATI card. Somehow the venting is better on the jw.

im sure some good paste for the 73jh will make it even better, just need to spend some money that's all. also, the g53jw uses the nvidia card too, so i think it'll probably perform identical to the 73jw, the 15incher is not really that small, it's it has less width but it's thicker than the 73. check the dimensions.

The problem with G73JH is some of it doesnt come with good pasting, which cause a lot of thermal problems.

Im thinking of buying mine soon,as i think i just found a good deal. i7 720QM, 8GB RAM, Seagate Momentus XT 1TB, 5870, Blu Ray writer, a bag, a Razor mouse, steel series headset. Even on Gentech, with all these stuff, already cost 2.1k USD,and now i can pick up from a store in Sydney for 2299AUD. Blu Ray writer is useless, but i cant do much about it anyway.

Need to find some time to buy it.

The one im getting is the newer model, i hope, as the hybrid HDD is only given as an option later on. Hopefully i wont have that many problems that plagued the earlier models.

Just a short report of my friends G73JH purchase recently, he ordered a new RBBX05 model from HIDEVOLUTION, he chosen USPS express but they kind staff at HID upgraded it to FedEx without extra charges, laptop was ordered on Wed 13/10/10, and arrived on 18/10/10.

I've noticed some improvements on the laptop since my last order 3 months ago, Asus got the pasting process improved this time, his gc idles at 52c, mine which i ordered 3 months ago idles at 59. Other than that, my friends wan came with LG panel 1600x900 as opposed to my inferior AUO panel, and power adapter is branded as ASUS where else mine is some OEM.

Just some info for those that prefer a budget RBBX05 model, which is bought at 1.4k + 100USD shipping.
