Hi there,
I'm planning to get G-series laptop
most probably will be G73..

but i found out that there are actually G73Jw and G73Jh model
what's the different between this two other than their graphic card spec

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 460M, with 1.5GB GDDR5 VRAM and ATI Mobility™ Radeon® HD 5870, 1G GDDR5 VRAM

which one is more preferable?

and i saw that there are A1, A2, B1, what is that mean?

Hi there! Nice to have you here. biggrin.gif

The difference between G73Jh and G73Jw in terms of specs is only the GPU itself. In hardware wise, Asus G73Jw has USB 3.0 port , two clicks touch pad buttons instead of one bar in G73Jh (most of the G73Jh's owners who didn't really like it including me) and some minor touch up in cosmetic value.

For G73Jh,

A1 = all specs are the same except the blue ray optical drive.
A2 = all specs are the same except the DVD RW optical drive.

B1 = all the specs are the same with A1 except the upgraded CPU.

For G73Jw,

A1 = same with G73Jh-B1 except the GPU.

wow.. thanks for the instant reply...

I've gone through and watched your video few minutes ago,
that's awesome!

yes... in term of GPU, g73Jw has nvdia 1.5gb GDDR5 VRAM and G73Jh has ATI 5870 1gb GDDR5 VRAM
I'm kind of clueless with the GPU differentiation, which one is more preferable?

You are welcome! Just make sure that you have SUBSCRIBED to my YouTube channel by just clicking on my sig. biggrin.gif

As for the GPU, I'm not really pro on it but both are good enough for gaming. Nevertheless, you have to bear in mind that Asus G73Jh has GSOD problem due to the bad pasting. I hope that your questions will be answered by other more knowledge-able members in this thread. Paiseh laugh.gif

I have ordered Logitech F710 gamepad and the estimated arrival time is within this week. However, I have to admit that XBox 360 Gamepad for PC is the most comfortable gamepad I ever hold.  biggrin.gif

It costs me 40 EUROS including shipping which is around RM160. The reason why I choose this is because I want to try it out. brows.gif

lol big diff what. One is wireless and one is wired. Freedom very important... that's why i like wireless stuff.

Anyways, i use normal AA batteries with my 360 controller, and the receiver is plugged into USB port, so no need charge.
I got during a clearing stock at some shop in london, 20 pounds it cost me, works perfectly.

Don't be confused that this gamepad is for XBox 360 only. It also available for PC variants. So, it includes wireless receiver.
