My friend wanna play xbox with his monitor.He just bought HDMI-DVI cable to slot it in monitor.Then how about the sound? The cable microsoft give my friend say cant jack in due to his using HDMI-DVI cable.Need some help or guide here

However, I plan to have a VGA to LCD monitor cable. So, i also wanna ask will it works after i plug in using Y splitter with xbox360 red/white wires and green wire from pc speaker?... because i worry that it only manage to get sound output from one channel instead of two channel (left/right).. Will this situation happen?

My friend say buy the y splitter already but the problem is,he cant insert 2 cable at once at the xbox as he say when he put hdmi-vga cable,the other cable with 3 colour are not fit at the back as it is 2 big.dont know is he idiot or what =.=

basically you just use yr HDMI cable to yr TV, then use the composite cable/component cable that comes with the xbox for sound, only use the Red & White cable. u had to break the cover for the component cable/composite cable only then you can slot 2 at the sametime.

to save money,just open carefully the male connector of the audio+video port(to remove the down part that prevent the HDMI male port to be inserted,because nothing inside there).

im not responsible for any warranty void or broken..
for ur info,i do it myself,coz dont want to waste anther penny..

but it should have an audio cable (only female red/white and optical port) and it should fit together with hdmi connected...then use the y-splitter together with speakers...i have mine set up like that and works fine
