Prefer something tighter, 35mm not really my preferred range. If not, I'll wait for the 85mm

anybody going to atria for self poisoning?

Atria? What is there? The camera warehouse sale ah? I doubt there's anything worth seeing, plain old marketing gimmick like the previous 9182638172567135147264313 warehouse sales.

A55 is good for sport shooter with the marvelous AF-C (fulltime phase detect AF)... and if it's sucessful (since to me A55 is like a test rat)... i strongly believe sony will use the tech into Nex VG future model... then that is something really good to shout about. really fast AF vid cam! (with all the manual control)

ieR, but dpreview's tests show that the full time AF isnt up to par when it comes to tracking fast moving subjects. its giving a low yield

err compare to what? a contrast detection camera? or non AF high speed shooting? yea, its not perfect, but nothing come close either... :/ (also, i dont like DPreview... hehehe blekk)

But I think thats with issue on SAM kit lens or 10 fps mode

d4rkholeang3l: I have not heard of gear stripping on the SAL 55-200mm F4-5.6 DT.

gizmopony: I never liked the AF/Drive/ISO buttons being there on the Canons (though it sure beats being on the left like the D300/D300s/D700/D3/D3s/D3x).

cassplayer: Take a shot at F11 and see if it's overexposed - if it is, it's got sticky blades so it can't stop down in time for the exposure.

ieR: The NEX-VG10 uses contrast detect AF while the a55 uses phase detect AF. Not quite the same thing!

ieR, referring to high fps still image shooting. but of course they are comparing it to the likes of D300s, D3 and 1DmkIV and the likes, as only those will be able to achieve fps of that caliber.

at some point, i do agree as well. where else would one need 10fps? and if at 10fps, the yield is low, why use it?

lol, what i was trying to mean, if A55 translucent+phase detect can boost movie mode AF, i believe sony going to bring this design into 'Nex VG' future model (not VG10)... wont that be great? aps-c vid cam(full controls) with phase detect it will be superb!
