ray, try:

duplicate layer -> gaussian blur (give it a stronger setting, around level 15-20) -> set layer to overlay or soft light -> adjust opacity of layer or adjust with levels to liking

sometime swhat u imagine and visualise may not be what u get..

this is especially so if the model is new.

even for experienced ones, i ask them pose like that, they will pose another way. then need correct a few times only get it right.

but will the 'feel' be the same when she pose the 2nd time?

LOL!!
i always highlight the lips at maybe around 8-10% opacity.
so it wont look too fake and unnatural.
can use burn tool @ 8-10% to darkern the eyeball, eyebrown also if the model did not put make up.
hahaha!!
