Good idea but doesn't work for Nokia. Why?

Because it takes Nokia such a long time to bring a 99.99% stable firmware. There are a lot of phones that I know where even after more than 1 year in the market, the firmware is still buggy.

Based on that, it doesn't make a difference for them by having test runners before they launch their phone.
*
Is it so hard for Nokia to take a single firmware from their previous phone model and then perfect it and then jam it up into their current phone? Like that they dont need to keep improving and improving their new firmware like that they have an improved firmware all around makes their life easier so they can concentrate on what is happening with all the Dead-On-Arrival phones. Lol.

p/s:what's with the fighting guys? Im used to the pictures being everywhere here and the N8 already so i just skip the post. Just dont bother what u dont wanna see. Let him share its ok btw that speaker the sound is quite good trying to get another set and then blast it out see how bassy it is smile.gif

that's the part I don't get Wat nokia doing..... every single symbian phone come out more or less the same features but still bloody buggy....
*
You get one good firmware, and u build around it la, isnt it easier for Nokia as well. Every single phone, a new firmware, new style of disaster. Why their development team dont think of something simple and easy for their life too.

I dont mind picture posting, but like they say spanning across 5-6 pages is kinda irritating but i got to admit yr picture taking skills are good smile.gif

If they migrate it to WP7 wont that be another setback for them? Weird la using nokia devices with WP7. Now i rather just hope that MeeGo OS didnt die like it suppose to.

That sums it all up... another N900 in the making... moreover, Elop specifically said this...

Hopefully Nokia can stand strong after all this changes.. Looks like time is really hard and the platform wars had really hit them hard this time.
They are adapting to the situation it seems.

BIS using TRUE push technology. It is not like other OS which claims to have PUSH email but actually it still PULL the emails.

How does PUSH technology works? The RIM server in Canada will pull the emails for you. Once the email is pulled, it will then be pushed to your BBerry phone. Which means, your phone don't need waste its power to do the pulling job like Android, iPhone or Symbian. That is where the battery life is extended. Your phone only connects to internet when emails etc is pushed to your phone.

Also, when that happens, you will save your internet bandwidth as there is no unnecessary connection to internet to check for new emails.

That is the reason for C7 to have a bad battery life when you access email, internet etc.

behold the master of BB is here, haha. Anyway the battery life on the C7 is ok for me because i dont use it to retrieve email but i tend to get irritated when talking for a period of time the phone gets really warm. feel like it is gonna suddenly burn my ears. lol

i also facing same symptom, C7 very easy get very warm at camera part, the worse one i been encounter is the phone so HOT till touch screen is freeze!! need to force shut down by long pressing power button!! but freeze drama only happen once, any solution beside sent to NCC? BTW sent to NCC will cure the very HOT symptom? hmm.gif

Well i got one more weird problem, sometimes when typing landscape mode the then if rotate to potrait, the screen turn and then blackout. wont appear anything or better still, automatically exit the SMS app. Damn irritating man. To counter this have to type on 1 position only. Lol.

Probably because those parts at the back of the phone are mainly made of stainless steel rather than plastic and you are feeling the heat because of that.

I also had the same problem with my Nokia E71 last time. I think that should be OK.

Probably you can off your 3G and then use your phone because I realise that the phone gets more hot when it is running on 3G mode.
*
Well if it runs on normal Edge also it tends to get overheated quite quickly, the E71 i used i dont experience that much of a heatness through the phone though kinda like it. Nice to feel and can talk for quite long but the C7 really can feel the differences.

from here it show clearly there's something wrong within the c7 RF circuitry design, and it will become worst IF it's using data through the network... nokia are kind of famous with it's mistery battery drain issue when come with apps that hauting the phone in the background and most of the time it will require a reboot if u suspecting something goes wrong... just like yesterday my n8 when i use the photo SHARE function the photo not even been publish out to FB but the shit thing is that the phone seem hang in connected to the network and from 7am - 12 noon batt already drain >50% (mean >120mAH current draw) without any active usage... sweat.gif
*
i tot nokia is more famous for their memory leak. i remember last time on the nokia 5800 and the e71. best experience evah.

Even plastic also can get to very scary heat level...

I used to WIFI tether with 5800 and it was hot... and it gets even hotter when you are charging it + tethering at the same time.
*
dont know bout teethering on the 5800 but using WiFi on the 5800 do generate some crazy heat. Lol
