Sorry to revive this thread...but is anyone still playing?
There's an announcement that the story will end...I hear a lot of good things about this game, so I really wish to give it a try and complete its story.

I just wish to know:
1) How's the ping from SG/MY? Which server I should pick for the best ping?
2) What's the best way to subscribe? Do I have to buy via gaming portals, or I can pay straight with credit card?
3) Is it still possible for me find enough party/people playing to complete the story if I start around December? I never played FFXI before, and I afraid with the end coming, no player will be left to party up...

Any FFXI veteran please help out, thanks!
