Is it just me or are the pictures in the LCD screen on the camera looks awesomely amazing.  Especially the colors.  But once uploaded into a computer screen its looks dull.  Sharpness I can understand from small screen to big screen.  But the colors...  And i thought I got the perfect contrast from the LCD screen only to get disappointed.

Not too sure what to do here.  But I want the same colors from the camera's LCD screen to be loaded on to the computer screen without editing.  What can be done?

Those 2 camera's photo quality are too close where its all up to your skills to make the good photos.

I heard S95 has a slight edge in low light while the LX5 has the slight edge in sports pictures.

Don't get a headache you can't go wrong with either.

I got the S95 and yes it does take great low light photos without flash.

I agree with you!!! The photo sharpness and color so amazingly nice on the screen, but look SO-So only on my laptop lcd. So disappointed. I thought I never need to edit my photo again =(

2+1 year warranty only for those bought last year. this year only 1+1 year.
*
100 Confirm? is it apply for every S95 in Msia?
Cuz Im confused. Before that, some told me 2years, some 3 years...
what's the meaning of 1 + 1 actually?
local and international warranty?

QUOTE(Everdying @ Apr 29 2011, 07:15 PM)
it used to be 1+2...now i guess 1+1.
iirc u need to register online within 14 days of purchase.
u will also need a receipt cos u need to enter the place u purchased from as well as receipt number...
so not sure how empty purchase date is going to help here.
*
the seller told me, keep the warranty date empty. so when the camera got problem nid to claim warranty, we only fill up, in order to prolong the warranty period (means play cheat lol ) but without register online, we only can get 1 year warranty?

2nd day use.
The manual mode very hard to use.
Auto mode looks nice in camera screen, but not on computer screen.
is it because of the auto mode? the quality looks just a little better than my s95.
sometimes human skin color looks weird under auto mode. =(

p/s: in terms of pic quality, i'd choose nex5 for it's bigger sensor over s95. the reason why i bought the s95 is because i need a cam that i could bring anywhere anytime. for that, the size of the s95 wins. if i want better pic quality, i'll have to lug my dslr sweat.gif
*
did u use manual mode?
did you edit the photos?
your photo is magnificent and the color is so contrasting!

Im still using auto mode... ><

what u can do is that maybe, u can get Lock and Lock casing like aquos recommented? i mean, if u go hiking, get into mud n stuff, the casing would be able to provide a layer of protection, not really waterproof or anything but  at least it can prevent some knocks...

oh yeah, dont worry so much about the Manual mode, u have to at least understand the fundamentals of the cam - ISO, aperture, etc, if not, just put in on auto mode, it is wonderful enough! smile.gif
*
where can i get the lock and lock casing?

hey sniper, finer details from the xz-1 is from the software or hardware? for fussy ppl like me, i will go for something that can shoot better pictures tongue.gif but if my eyes cant really see the differences, s95 would be prefered due to the ease of use smile.gif

but in the end it also depends on whether to spend just a little bit more to get an entry level dslr tongue.gif

1 question, the camera fits exactly into the casing or do u need to put some kind of padding/sponge in it? looks kinda bulky to put in the pocket...
*
i don think it is suitable to put in a pocket.
my experience is i put my camera and bottle into my bag, and the bottle leak then....
so i need it to protect it...

I'm not sure is it because of the camera.

Hi there Hiroko

When you transfer the Pics to your comp, there is a small window on the right bottom of your screen. On this window there is a setting button on the left bottom corner click it and deselect Auto rotate the pictures.
That should do the trick.
Good luck.
Tonton.
