Hi guys.

This is my first post here.

Wanna ask, where can I service my S95?

Service as in clean the dust on the lens, mechanical parts etc.

This is my first camera that I ever own so my knowledge on storage, maintenance, shooting etc is quite minimal. Would appreciate advices from you guys here.

Oh and that pelican case looks good. tongue.gif

@adam_lss

Hi bro. Can't help noticing that you got quite a number of great shots.

Are those photos straight from ur memory card, or it went through some editing first?

Coz I just cant seem to tweak the settings on my S95 to get those kinda outcomes sad.gif

hey Lucidus, thanks smile.gif
though i wont even dare say the pics i take are any good!hahaha

which shots? normally i dont edit them, except for the pirates exhibition at mid valley, just playing around with the raw files...

by d way, how long have u been using? mine's around 6 months old only, dont think mine's dirty or dusty enough to really send for servicing
*
Mine is going for its seventh month. Bought November last year.

I always on iA though. Don't hav enough theory on ISO, aperture and what not.

Hrmm I notice that the lens hav quite a number of dust, and there's more on other parts upon closer examination. I'm quite an abuser actually. I bring this S95 along on hiking trip, waterfall trekking, city tour, etc. Practically anything.

Most of my shots I notice does not hav a satisfying contrast, and the colour is abit dull to my eyes. Hence I always edit my shots to fix that.

Maybe I don't hav to if I know my way through manual mode etc. sad.gif

okok, will check how much the local stalls selling
good to buy from the lelong person?

If you got money, better buy from authorized dealer (shops).

Don't have to headache about warranty issue (1+2 years, especially the +2 years part).

Also if shop you can squeeze them kaw kaw, you can ask for screen protector, extra capacity SD card, Crumpler pouch, mini tripod, etc. But you must know how to sweet-talk la heheheh. If you're a girl and you're pretty that would be an absolute extra advantage.

Added on January 9, 2012, 10:31 pmDear forumers.

Today (9th January 2012) around 5pm, I took LRT (Putra Line) from Terminal Putra (Gombak) to KLCC.

Then I carelessly left my Canon Powershot S95 inside the train there.

That camera was my most prized possession as I worked hard to kumpul duit and buy it.

It is black, together with Crumpler red pouch.

Inside it got some pic of me and my girlfriend (All decent pic, no tak senonoh pic as ayam good boy).

If any of you here happen to find it by chance, please let me know by PM or reach me at Ol3628239O.

I will gib reward, I wub my camera so much.

Thanks for your time.

Bye.

----

Details:

I accidentally left the camera inside the end coach of a 4-coach train.

The camera is inside a red Crumpler pouch about the size of my palm, with red lanyard.

The SD card inside is Nikon 2gb (blue colour).

The camera is black, with a custom sticker besides its lens.

I boarded the train around 5pm on 9th January 2012.

I guess it's time for me to accept the bitter fact that my camera is lost for good. sad.gif

Time to look forward for an upgrade, the Canon Powershot S100. Now will start saving, and get a nice neckstrap to always keep my camera there. smile.gif
