yes~ but not so sure on SAM~ but come to think of it~ AF motor on ur a300 is slower lar~ a700 has the option to choose slow or fast AF motor speed~
and when i mounted the sony 75-300 on my a700~ the AF speed is faster than my good old a200~ but the gear focusing noise on the 75300 is scary~ sounds like gonna gearstripped by my a700 anytime~

thats why the beercan is legendary~!
