if your speakers is expensive one, than surface mail might not be the ideal mode of transport. normally it will travel by sea and takes between 1-5 to 2 months to reach you. handling too will be rough.

Sea mail is ok. The speakers would always be properly packed and is always containerized. The handling is only when loading into the container and offloading. If you think sending speakers from KL to Kedah via surface is ok, (normally is if properly packed),then its the same from australia to malaysia.Actually theres more handling if shipped via cheap courier within malaysia.Any way of air transport is expensive.Thats why poslaju is expensive than the other courier co's as they have a plane.

I don't think there are sea mail services from australia, at least not for small packages. I was lookin into this earlier on but could not find anyone that offered this not even auspost. Annoying I know.

For airmail , check out interparcel.com.au . Highly recommended though I've haven't tried international with them yet only local within aus. It gives u many courier options.

cheers
