N9 should be running MeeGo.
MeeGo going beta this October. So N9 OS still should be half baked.
This phone OS looks like Symbian^3.
Yes and no.
The main complain received from average user of Maemo 5 were Maemo is harder to use than other mobile os(Android & iOS).
So when Nokia & Intel merged Nokia decided to halt Maemo 6 development and revamp the OS as MeeGo.Most probably MeeGo will the strip down of some advanced functions that Maemo 5 had be a more mobile OS
There will be quite some difference between MeeGo and Maemo codes.Read about it at MeeGo wiki if anyone interested.

If Nokia indeed dump N8 like camera into N9 how high do you think the price will be?
When N8 pricing was 1st announced,it was 450+ euros.Now it's 550+ euros.

I still like my mobiles to be workhorse-quality (read: campak dinding also will survive) and Nokia has never failed me yet on that respect (my 3530, N-Gage, 5800, N97 Mini and N900 was all bomb proof).
