Nokia's N950 developer MeeGo handset gets official: 4-inch display, QWERTY keyboard, same childlike dreams

At least the screen is going to be AMOLED, none of the S-LCD nonsense that HTC uses.

So glad they're going with WebKit, same technology they use for Safari and Chrome.

If this phone becomes a success, maybe it'll convince Nokia not to just sell WP7 phones (I hate syncing with Zune software on Windows only).

Yeah you're right, they did make a port, but I think only for later handsets.

By the way guys, I just noticed that this phone will only support Micro-SIM cards only. rclxub.gif

Actually I'm using Micro-Sim now on my iPhone 4 now. tongue.gif
It's just that I don't like devices to support Micro-SIM only... blush.gif

Gizmodo went as far as saying its already discontinued... there goes the hatred again.

Gizmodo isn't the most balanced of sites, but I blame Stephen Elop for not giving a clear idea on Nokia's plans with Meego in the long term. This N9 could be Nokia's final experiment with MeeGo and I think only if ig proves a major hit will Nokia continue making more.

BTW the N900 sold poorly in the past I believe, so that's why it took so long to see another Linus based device.

Huge improvement over Symbian? Is this guy just some random guy who doesn't know Symbian and Meego is totally different? O.O
*
Yeah but Nokia has been mainly using Symbian for their NSeries so far, except the N900.

1450 mAh should be okay.
The iPhone 4's battery is 1420 mAh but the battery life is pretty decent.

Just let me play with the phone nao
