Hi Organizing Team,
Here are a few questions that i think needed to be answered. 1) Is it possible to only enter the game tournament and not the gaming rig event? 2) Do we need to bring our own desktop? (Cause in the rules you say that need set up time and the graphic settings rules) 3) If we do need to bring our desktop will I still be able to join if I am using AMD processor instead of Intel? 4) If we do need to bring our desktop, are we still subjected to the igh tecture rule even if our computer cannot support it? 5) Even if gaming equipment are offered do we have the option to use our own gaming equipment? 6) Will these games be broadcasted? If not, then i do not think that chatting is anything wrong because it will only hurt the player back itself unless he use any bad words. 7) What are the location of the FTZ the event is held? As i know there are quite a few in Penang Island. 8) Why KL time starts at 5PM while Penang at 12PM? This time frame is against people who are working especially since you announce this tournament (AUG 19) for Penang people quite close to the tournament date(AUG 27). People who are working (Like myself) are unable to apply for leave in time because we are only given a 1 week time frame. Also the 12PM timeframe is also needed for Friday prayers. Im not a muslim but i feel we should respect their praying time since that is why most schools and offices have a long lunch for them. Maybe shifting it to around 3PM or 4PM is still variable but will hurt the working players. I think these are a few questions that needed to be answered. In respect to the sponsor team. I feel that you have to get your stuff together before posting things like this without knowledge of the game or situation other players are in EVEN if you do not play the game at all. A renown company like SMM should not effort to make mistakes when organizing an event especially since the date for the Penang tournament is this Friday and big sponsors like Intel, Razer, Cooler Master and etc. |

Okay now that solves everything except for the time... I afraid i cant make it at 12PM. Is it possible to talk to the sponser to change the time to around 2PM maybe? Unless they wanna reschedule to another day. Im afraid that there will not be many participants. (Correct me if im wrong)

I agree with dieCast... Can we have the event schedule so maybe we can make it in time for the competition?

Guys something is still not clear,
There are 2 events, 1) SC2 Competition 2) Mod PC competition If i join only the SC2 Competition 1. Are we required to bring our own PC? 2. If yes does it need to have an Intel processor? 3. If no will a PC be provided for us gamers? I am receiving mix answer from SMM & Intel Marketing. According to the post above, SMMGaming says that they will provide PC. QUOTE(SMMGaming @ Aug 23 2010, 04:18 PM) In another email I receive from Intel, they say that all participant must bring they own PC and must run on Intel Processor only. Can you please help me clarify? My advise would be any processor PC is fine but cannot enter the custom PC contest. Good luck.
Added on August 25, 2010, 3:30 pm QUOTE(Mr.Pikachu @ Aug 25 2010, 03:28 PM) So in either case, you still have to bring your own PC and it must be an Intel CPU to be entitled to participate in SC2? Yup. I wonder how Renson, CoBo, AleX and the gang who coming up from KL bring their PC. LOL.Added on August 25, 2010, 3:34 pmWow just got off the phone. CoBo, Renson and the gang so dedicated. 3 hours on bus+5 hours train+1 hours from jetty to the place. 9 Hours carrying PC. Respect. They deserve to win if their this dedicated. No point joining to the event already. This post has been edited by darkplacid: Aug 25 2010, 03:34 PM |

QUOTE(Rambo_pang43200 @ Aug 26 2010, 03:24 AM) I am not going already. Final decision made. So complicated and since this is 1st time, there will be more coming up next and would be even better. Hope you can still come. Then we go out yam cha with CoBo, Rensen and the gang.Lack of information, and kinda blur on interpret the information. On the other hand, carrying my noob CPU just wanna play SC2 tournament (seriously I don't even care about the PC custom thing event because my spec is not even qualify with Intel too and my INTENTION to participate cause of SC2, just SC2) travel by ride the public transport is totally risky for me. Imagine I take 3-5 hours trips all the way up. Man... With that heavy things, shaking around in the bus or platform, i afraid I reach the venue and my HDD is down cause of shaking. Oh ya, let say I reach Butterworth and going to take ferry to reach Penang island, how incredible with crowd of people and I may face robber since my both hand holding the CPU and they could just rob me off easily. Who ask me so poor? I am out. Good Luck to the participant. Added on August 26, 2010, 8:48 amFunny how 1 stupid rule can spoil an event.
