If you use the international IME keyboard then they have chinese input inside....

if it is really a hardware failure not due to ur negligence then i will strongly suggest filing a complaint to the Consumer Tribunal
frankly, i've a similar experience with my previous HTC & only the consumer tribunal can help me.

Yes, chinese IME with the handwriting option.
International IME that comes with custom ROMs do not have the handwriting feature.

I've flashed the Cynogen ROM & unfortunately no chinese IME (and so, no handwriting)
Frankly, i m a quite a banana (not entirely banana), so I rely on the handwriting feature to enter some chinese words.

handwriting is not included & i can only find a working one for Hero which is incompatible with Desire.
If only I have the handwriting option, I will keep the Cynogen ROM. It's the fastest of all, in my opinion.

Thanks so much draco82! i have also downloaded a working one for SonyX10 but havent tested it yet.
Still trying to find the HTC one.

btw, now i know draco82 is taken by you...so mine, no choice use draco(zz)
