some ppl are quite conscience with their appearance. Your perceptions & views in life will change as you "level" up.

Like my wife, she didn't have very nice teeth, she did crowning b4 our wedding, and she's a happier person now.

for me... my tooth front teeth are spreading... she ask me to do something about it... I don't want.

some times doing braces or dental enhancement work not because of appearance, but also to rectify your teeth growing back align. 'cos when you get older, your gums will aged, and things will be out of place.

'cos it might become very complicated and causing oral problem to you.

So it's really better to do it now, then later.

the crowning you mentioned is old method... now new tech they don't use metal lining/housing any more.

New tech is they mold the shape of your teeth, then reproduce it in high-def Quality porcelain.

Once you have that done, doctor will file your teeth til they are in cone shape, then doctor will cup the porcelain teeth to it.

then you'll check these new teeth from thee mirror, and comment if the height of the teeth is acceptable, and the colour of the teeth, etc

the teeth maker will adjust accordingly til you happy.

The downside of this is you can't chew/bite hard using these "new" teeth.

The upside is, they look good and natural.

nope. but I got a few friends just did a a few years ago.

and my wife was deciding braces or crowning.

actually expensive or cheap, it depends on conditions.

My wife did for RM500 per tooth (x2), another RM500 for root canal - total RM1.5K

like my friend, she did braces for RM5K up and down, 'cos her teeth really lari, and she has to suffer for 2 years.

so it really depends on your conditions.
