Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Raised in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, Swift moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of fourteen to pursue a career in country music. She signed to the independent label Big Machine Records and became the youngest songwriter ever hired by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house. The release of Swift's eponymous debut album in 2006 established her as a country music star. "Our Song", her third single, made her the youngest person to
single-handedly write and perform a number one song on the country chart. She received a Best New Artist nomination at the 2008 Grammy Awards.

Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in late 2008. Buoyed by the chart success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", Fearless attracted a pop crossover audience and became the top-selling album of 2009. The record won four Grammy Awards, with Swift becoming the youngest ever Album of the Year winner.

Fearless also received Album of the Year plaudits at the American Music Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards and Country Music Association Awards, making it the most awarded album in country music history. In 2010, Swift released her third album, Speak Now, which sold over one million copies in its first week. She then embarked on the thirteen-month Speak Now World Tour, which included many stadium dates and was attended by over 1.6 million fans. The album's third single, "Mean", won two Grammy Awards. Swift's fourth album, Red, is set for release on October 22, 2012. The lead single, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together", became Swift's first song to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Often described as America's sweetheart, Swift is known for her hook-laden, narrative songs about her experiences as a teenager and young adult. As a songwriter, she has been honored by the Nashville Songwriters Association and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Swift's other achievements include six Grammy Awards, ten American Music Awards, seven Country Music Association Awards, six Academy of Country Music Awards and thirteen BMI Awards. She has sold over 22 million albums and 50 million song downloads worldwide. In addition to her music career, Swift has appeared as an actress in the crime drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2009), the ensemble comedy Valentine's Day (2010) and the animated film The Lorax (2012). As a philanthropist, Swift supports arts education, children's literacy, natural disaster relief funds, LGBT rights and charities for sick children.

user posted image

Taylor Swift is the self-titled debut studio album by American country singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. The album was released on October 24, 2006 by Big Machine Records. Swift wrote songs for the album during her freshman year of high school and has writing credits on all of the albums' songs including those co-written with Liz Rose. Swift experimented to record the album with several album producers, ultimately choosing the producer of her demo album, Nathan Chapman. Musically, the album is styled to blend country music and pop music and lyrically, it speaks of romantic relationships, a couple of which Swift wrote from observing relationships before being in one.

Fearless is the second studio album by American country pop artist Taylor Swift. Released on November 11, 2008, on Big Machine Records, the album debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums charts. The release sold 592,000 copies in the United States its first week—the largest sum for a country album since Eagles' Long Road Out of Eden in November 2007. Fearless later became the first album to sell one million copies in 2009, and earned the title of top-selling album of 2009. As of February 11, 2010, the album has been certified 6x Platinum by the RIAA.

The album's lead single, "Love Story," was her first song to achieve commercial success outside of the United States. It reached No. 1 in Australia, No. 3 in New Zealand, and No. 2 in the United Kingdom. The album's third single, "You Belong with Me," became Swift's biggest domestic hit, peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100

"Speak Now" (2010)
user posted image

Speak Now is the third studio album by American singer–songwriter Taylor Swift, released on October 25, 2010, by Big Machine Records. Production for the album took place during 2008 to 2010 at several recording studios, and was handled by Swift and country music producer Nathan Chapman. Written entirely by Swift as the follow-up to Fearless (2008), Speak Now expands on the country pop style of her previous work, and features lyrical themes concerning love, romance and heartbreak.

A deluxe edition was released on the same day exclusively to US Target stores; it contained three extra bonus tracks and two acoustic versions as well as a pop remix of "Mine". Internationally, another deluxe edition was released containing the same three bonus songs and acoustic songs, and three US versions. In 2012, the Target exclusive was released to a wider distribution in the US.

Six singles were released from the album. "Mine" was released as the lead single on August 4, 2010 instead of August 16 due to it leaking online prior to its release. The second single, "Back to December", was released on November 11, 2010. The third single, "Mean", was released on March 7, 2011 and a little over a month later on April 19, 2011 the fourth single, "The Story of Us", was released only to mainstream radio. The fifth single, "Sparks Fly" was released on July 18, 2011 and was the first single since "You Belong with Me" to reach number one on Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The final single "Ours" was released as promotional single on November 8, 2011 and was released to country radio on December 5, 2011 and was the second single from Speak Now to peak at number one on the Hot Country Songs chart.

Speak Now received generally positive reviews from music critics, who complimented Swift's songwriting and themes.

"Red" (2012)
user posted image

Red is the fourth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was released on October 22, 2012 through Big Machine
Records, as the follow-up to her commercially successful 2010 album Speak Now. It was announced through Swift's live webchat on
August 13, 2012, in which she revealed the album title, album cover, as well as answered fan questions. During it she premiered the record's
lead single, titled "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together", which was released to Google Play and iTunes later that day. It became
Swift's first US No. 1 hit. Four promotional singles were released in the month leading up to the album release, all of which debuted inside the
top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, led by "I Knew You Were Trouble" at No. 3. The deluxe edition of Red features three new songs, two demos
and an acoustic version. The album features collaborations with new producers and guest artists such as Max Martin and Ed Sheeran, and
sees Swift experimenting with new musical genres.

Red received favourable reviews from music critics. On Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics,
the album received an average score of 76 based on 15 reviews, indicating "generally favorable reviews." Melissa Maerz of Entertainment Weekly
gave the album a (B+) and wrote: "(Red) finds her singing about walking directly into traffic, wading into quicksand, and flirting with the kinds of jerks
Kanye West might toast to." and closed her review with: "Red might be about flirting with danger."

"1989" (2014)
user posted image

1989 is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, released on October 27, 2014, through Big Machine Records. Swift began planning her follow-up project in 2013 and continued work into 2014, during which time Swift collaborated with producers including Max Martin and Shellback. Their efforts resulted in her "first documented, official pop album", which represents a musical departure from the country pop styles in her earlier work. The album's title is the year Swift was born.

"Shake It Off" was released as the lead single from 1989 on August 18, 2014. It debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, becoming Swift's second number one single in the country and the 22nd track to debut in the peak position on that chart in Billboard history.

At Metacritic, they assign a "weighted average" rating out of 100 to selected independent ratings and reviews from mainstream critics, and the album has received an Metascore of a 78, based on 8 reviews, indicating "generally favorable reviews."

Writing for Rolling Stone and rating the album four out of five stars, Rob Sheffield states: "Deeply weird, feverishly emotional, wildly enthusiastic, 1989 sounds exactly like Taylor Swift, even when it sounds like nothing she's ever tried before." Neil McCormick of The Telegraph rated the album four out of five stars and claims: "The immediate impression is slick; candyfloss cheerleading, full of American fizz."

"Reputation" (2017)
user posted image

Reputation (stylized in all lowercase) is the sixth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was released on November 10, 2017, through Big Machine Records. The record was primarily produced by Jack Antonoff, Max Martin, Shellback and Swift herself, who also serves as the executive producer. Described by Swift as her "most cathartic album", the album is influenced by Swift's highly publicized personal life and disputes. The album's sound features a darker and heavier tone compared to Swift's previous projects, delving into her vulnerable side. Musically, it is a pop, electropop, and synth-pop record that contains influences of hip hop, trap, tropical house and EDM.

Artists featured on Reputation include English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and American rapper Future. The album was preceded by two singles, the lead single "Look What You Made Me Do" which peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, and the second single "...Ready for It?" which debuted and peaked at number four. Reputation received generally positive reviews from music critics and reached number one in 13 countries including the United Kingdom, and United States. In the US, the album sold 1.216 million copies in its first week of release, making it the country's best-selling album of 2017, while with global sales of 4.5 million copies, it was the second best-selling album of 2017 worldwide. The album has been certified triple platinum by the RIAA, as of January 2018.

"Lover" (2019)

Lover is the seventh studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was released on August 23, 2019, by Republic Records. As the executive producer, Swift worked with producers Jack Antonoff, Joel Little, Louis Bell, Frank Dukes, and Sounwave on the album. Described by Swift as "a love letter to love itself", the album celebrates the ups and downs of love and incorporates brighter, more cheerful tones, departing from the dark sounds of its predecessor, Reputation (2017). The album's cover art and music videos marked a change in Swift's visual appearance, which now embodies a summer-oriented look, consisting mainly of pastel colors. Musically, it is a pop, synth-pop, electropop and pop rock record that contains influences of country, dream pop, bubblegum pop, funk, pop punk, R&B, and indie pop.

Lover features collaborations with the Dixie Chicks and Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco. It was preceded by three singles: the international top-five singles "Me!" and "You Need to Calm Down", which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100; and the title track, which peaked in the top 10 of the Hot 100. "The Man" was released as the fourth single on January 27, 2020. The album received positive reviews from critics, who commended Swift's songwriting conveying emotional maturity and honesty.

"Folklore" (2020)

Folklore is the eighth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was a surprise album, released on July 24, 2020, via Republic Records. Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, Swift canceled the concert tour for her seventh studio album Lover (2019). She conceived Folklore during quarantine as "a collection of songs and stories that flowed like a stream of consciousness", working with producers Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff virtually; Dessner and Antonoff operated from recording studios in Hudson Valley and New York City, respectively, while Swift recorded her vocals in a home studio at her Los Angeles residence.

"Evermore" (2020)

Evermore is the ninth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was a surprise album released on December 11, 2020, via Republic Records, less than five months after Folklore, her eighth studio album. Evermore was a spontaneous product of Swift's extended collaboration with her Folklore collaborator Aaron Dessner, mainly recorded at his Long Pond Studio in the Hudson Valley.

Swift described Evermore as an offshoot of "the folklorian woods"—an escapist, cottagecore-inspired direction she first ideated with Folklore during the COVID-19 pandemic; she regards them as sister albums. Evermore blends alternative rock, indie folk and chamber pop styles, carried by fingerpicked guitars, somber pianos, lavish strings, and sparse percussion.

"Midnights" (2022)

Midnights is the tenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, released on October 21, 2022, via Republic Records. Announced at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, Midnights marked Swift's first new body of work since her 2020 indie folk albums, Folklore and Evermore. It is a moody concept album about nocturnal ruminations, written and produced by Swift with longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff.

Inspired by Swift's "sleepless nights", Midnights explores topics of anxiety, insecurity, self-criticism, self-awareness, insomnia, and self-confidence, with lyricism characterized as confessional yet cryptic. Sonically, it experiments with chill-out, electropop, dream pop, and bedroom pop styles, resulting from an alternative approach to synth-pop using analog synthesizers, drum machine, subtle grooves, and hip hop/R&B rhythms.

"The Eras Tour" (2023/2024)
user posted image

The Eras Tour is the ongoing sixth concert tour by the American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, who described it as a journey through all of her "musical eras".
A homage to her 10-album discography, the Eras Tour is Swift's most expansive tour yet, with 151 shows across five continents.
It is the highest-grossing tour of all time and the first to surpass $1 billion in revenue.

"The Tortured Poets Department" (2024)
The Tortured Poets Department is the eleventh studio album by the American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was released on April 19, 2024, by Republic Records.
Swift developed the album amidst the Eras Tour in 2023, with the resultant, heightened media scrutiny on her life inspiring the record.
Two hours after the album's release, it was expanded into a double album subtitled The Anthology, containing a second volume of songs.

"The Life of a Showgirl" (2025)
The Life of a Showgirl is the twelfth studio album by the American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was released on October 3, 2025, through Republic Records.
Inspired by the success of the Eras Tour and her romantic relationship with the footballer Travis Kelce, Swift conceived The Life of a Showgirl as a vibrant and lively
album to reflect the triumphant and joyful phase that she was experiencing. The end result is an upbeat pop and soft rock record about fame and newfound love;
Sabrina Carpenter is featured on the title track. Photographed by Mert and Marcus, Swift adopted a provocative, showgirl-inspired theme for the album,
which journalists described as the most glamorous and flamboyant visual aesthetic of her career. The album registered the highest single-day sales in US history,
with 2.7 million copies sold in its first day of release.

After a few months of getting well verse with "Speak Now", I can safely say this album is better than "Fearless". It has more songs than "Fearless" that gets stuck to your head! OK, maybe that's just me. Both albums are absolutely amazing.

My favorites :

1. "Mine"
2. "Sparks Fly"
3. "Back to December"
4. "Speak Now"
5. "Dear John"
6. "Mean"
7. "The Story of Us"
8. "Never Grow Up"
9. "Enchanted"
10. "Better Than Revenge"
11. "Innocent"
12. "Haunted"
13. "Last Kiss"
14. "Long Live"
15. "Ours"
16. "If This Was a Movie"
17. "Superman"
18. "Back to December" (Acoustic version)
19. "Haunted" (Acoustic version)
20. "Mine" (US Version)
21. "Back to December" (US Version)
22. The Story of Us" (US Version)

My absolute favorites and imo, the instant classics of "Speak Now" are :

1. "Speak Now"
2. "Enchanted"
3. "Better Than Revenge"
4. "Haunted"
5. "Superman"

The best! nod.gif

There is one song that, how do I put it, is not my favorite though I don't hate it and that is "Dear John" icon_question.gif

Recently "Back to December" Music Video was released :

And a "Haunted" performance a la music video she did for NBC :

I would give this album a 9.5/10
Highly, highly recommended. Taylor Swift fans, this is a no brainer.

On a special note, barnacles T Swift! Why aren't you not performing in Malaysia next month! Singapore and Hong Kong get to see
her perform live... cry.gif Aish... sad. So close yet so far. I so badly wanted Malaysia to be on her Speak Now Tour. Furthermore, this is the first time she is performing in Asia (first time stepping into Asia too I guess).

Taylor Swift wins top country entertainer prize~

Taylor Swift was voted entertainer of the year at the Academy of Country Music awards, though Miranda Lambert ended up the night's big winner.

Accepting her award, 21-year-old Swift said she was "just losing my mind". "The fact that this is from the fans makes it so special," she added.

Swift - whose album Speak Now sold a million copies in its first week of release last year - beat fellow nominees Lambert and Paisley to the entertainer of the year award.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Multi-platinum selling superstar Taylor Swift is releasing her fourth studio album called “Red” on Oct. 22.

She announced the news during a live web chat from Nashville, Tenn., in a room full of fans.

The 22-year-old said she has been working on the project for two years. The album will have 16 tracks.

Swift played the first single from the album during the web chat. It’s called “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” During the song, she chair-danced and mouthed the words along with her fans.

Swift’s 2010 album, “Speak Now,” sold more than 1 million copies in its first week out. She has sold more than 22 million albums throughout her career. Swift is known for hits including “You Belong With Me” and “Love Story.”

Taylor wrote a song for a 4 year old boy called Ronan who passed away from a battle with Cancer, Taylor wrote the single after reading a blog from Ronan's mother who helped Taylor write the song. This is one of the sweetest songs Taylor has ever written!

For me it's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "Ronan" as the best ones thus far.

I don't really know what to think about I Knew You Were Trouble. Part of me wishes the old Taylor Swift remains. (WANEGBT & Red are also quite different from her usual songs) I LOVED every song on Speak Now. But part of me loves ALL her new songs on Red because they are so damn catchy. But oh well, I'll still support her, there are no major changes so far. I'll just shut up and listen to the good music. biggrin.gif

I was uber disappointed when she had Singapore among the asian countries in her Asia Tour 2011. I'm thinking why not Malaysia. If she does the same for perhaps another Asian Tour in 2013, let's hope she adds Malaysia!

True, but I still think there are plenty of fans here and the concert will be a complete sell out. I did watch the Singapore Tour footage, and it was breathtakingly amazing. She would also gel well with the "conservative standards" here. rolleyes.gif

...

Been listening to the album for the past few weeks and "State of Grace" and "Red" remains my personal favourites. Acoustic version of "Stage of Grace" on the second disc is thumbup.gif "The Last Time" is pretty good too. Though "Ronan" is not on the album, I consider it to be one of her finest work to date... a must listen!

Honestly, I like TS when she was doing country music. All songs has meaning and a beautiful story. Now her new songs are just following mainstream pop-like songs, kind of made her lost her identity. I was surprise a song like "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" came from her. Very not the TS I like. I know it's a new image thingy, but then, I hope she goes back to writing beautiful music than just write for the sake of writing for new album for sales

My favourites are State Of Grace, Red, Treacherous, I Knew You Were Trouble, 22, The Last Time, Sad Beautiful Tragic, Everything Has Changed, Starlight and Begin Again.

But my all time favourite Taylor Swift song is still a tie between Haunted and Enchanted.

Like it? Hate it? It's quite different to what we usually see for a Taylor Swift music video... this is by far the edgiest. I hope this is a one-time only, as I'm quite sure fans are not used to seeing Swifty like this. Still like it though! biggrin.gif

After a few months of "RED", I can safely say T Swift has just hit a triple jackpot - "Fearless", "Speak Now" and "RED" (her first album was more of an introductory).

I was somewhat fearful after "Speak Now" if she could pull another big success. I have no doubts anymore.

Too bad she was a little sour after the Golden Globes, but oh well...

I used to love Taylor Swift. I have a little issue with her due to her "Fearless" album, a big shift from the acoustic country debut to a mainstream radio pop approach. "Speak Now" is better with country ballad and folk elements. But it seems that she goes back to her old problem in "Red". Before continuing, I'd like to say I have never heard any of her albums in full, I'm speaking from her singles only. "Red" singles are too heavily influenced to mainstream pop. "We Are Never Getting Back Together" focuses on single melody at every particular times. "I Knew You Were Trouble" has odd choruses with pitch-shifted vocals. And notice how the 2 songs have Taylor's vocals multi-layered. She's going too far out to escape from the "country" vibe.

It's just my opinion. I'm giving her a chance. smile.gif

Anyone going? biggrin.gif

http://www.ticketpro.com.my/jnp/concert/po...n-malaysia.html

I wonder what the ticket prices are going to be like...

Ticket sales opens March 1st. I predict a total sellout quickly.

Well, this is it. rclxms.gif Imma counting down the hours... I'm not sure how the traffic will be though heading towards the stadium... sweat.gif

Her Asia Tour should have ended with Malaysia but... they added show #2 for Singapore!

I am very confident if there was Malaysia show #2 - it would have sold out as well!

It's over. It's done. cry.gif

What a surreal experience... to see her live... performing the way you usually see on TV... biggrin.gif

The way she teased when she first entered. The crowd going nuts; a silhouette at first with "State of Grace" then boom... the curtain drops and there she is... rclxms.gif Won't forget this moment like ever.

'1989' Coming This October!

user posted image

QUOTE
1989 is the upcoming fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It is set to be released on October 27, 2014 by Big Machine Records. The album is preceded by the digital release of the single "Shake It Off", for which Mark Romanek directed its music video.

Swift began teasing about an announcement in August 2014. On August 4, she posted a video on Instagram in which she pushes the number 18 in an elevator. On August 6, she tweeted an image of the time 5:00 and the next day a screenshot from a Yahoo! homepage. She later confirmed on August 13, 2014 on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that a Yahoo! live stream session would take place on August 18, 2014 at 5pm. Swift announced the album during the live stream; she described it as her "first documented, official pop album", stating that she was inspired by the late 1980s pop while recording it. She first premiered the album's first single, "Shake It Off".

Official pop album inspired by late 80s. unsure.gif I was expecting 2015, a bit too soon after her 'Red Tour' ended we get a new album but it is 'pop'...

Taylor Swift Reveals New Album 'Reputation' Coming In Nov., First Single Out Thursday

http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/...ation-new-album

user posted image

QUOTE
It's really happening. After the long wait and numerous snake-related teases, Taylor Swift has confirmed her new album, Reputation, is coming Nov. 10. But fans won't have to wait that long to hear new music from the pop queen – the first single drops Thursday (Aug. 24).

Swift also revealed the album cover art (shot by Mert & Marcus) for her sixth album via Instagram on Wednesday (Aug. 23).

Even though it's been nearly three years since Swift's 1989 -- which won the Album of the Year Grammy -- she hasn't been a stranger to the charts. Her 2016 Zayn duet "I Don't Want to Live Forever" from Fifty Shades Darker peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, just one spot shy of becoming her fifth No. 1. But with anticipation building for a new Taylor Swift single since she wiped her social media accounts last Friday (Aug. 18), could this new single become her next No. 1 -- potentially unseating the historic No. 1 run of "Despacito" from Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber? We'll have to wait and see.

Yes! biggrin.gif A new 'grungy' look... I think the music will be a lot 'darker' this time.

pretty bad first single from her new album

the whole song is a not so subtle diss track on kanye. and she's releasing the album on the anniversary of kanye west's mom. hence the name of the song "look at what you made me do".

catchy, it hooks on you.

At least she aint writing about her ExBF or fling, its a change. Old Taylor is dead. more vampy. has some vibes of nicki minaj (a little) but
her new look is welcomed. She grew up. Its entertainment, show business

G_KeN,Aug it's showbusiness, after "famous" (song & video) & all the hooHa by Kanye, I guess its a way to say she's wise up from the naive country girl singer.
Show Business is manipulative, lots of promises that's the reality of it.

They are all milking it.

urhhh. she is still dissing her ex bf. the 8 guys wearing i <3 TS shirt in one of the scene in music video is a direct dig on her 8 ex bf and the shirt is a direct dig on tom hiddlestone because he wore that shirt when he was still dating with TS.

the "hooha by Kanye" is started by non other that TS herself when she got caught lying in front of world wide audience about kanye disrespecting her in one of kanye's song when in actual fact kanye did call TS for approval, as per the video leaked by his wife. from this revelation, lots of people spamming snake emoji on TS insta, which is why this new MV has lots of snake motives.

sure she's going to make lots of money, but a lame diss track is a lame diss track. even some hardcore TS fans agreed that this is one of TS worst song to date.

Well it's entirely makeup and prosthetic (5 hours of it)... and she did an amazing job directing and starring in it. At one or more points in the video I thought it was Daniel Bruhl tongue.gif

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (2023)

If you need one sentence to sum it up, it's this: If you're a Taylor Swift fan, this is an unmissable performance.

Almost 3 hours long (also thanks to my cinema having issues with the video twice, each time they rewinded 5–10 minutes before the issue) with an astonishing count (my own count) of 35 songs.

The Eras Tour, if you haven't already known, encompasses her "major" songs from each album, including surprises from her self-titled album all the way from 2006, right up to Midnights.

The amount of effort that went into this Tour is mind-boggling. If you're a movie aficionado, you know the amount of work it takes to shoot a script, and live play is way more complicated with many moving and intricate pieces.

Now think high-octane music, set design, lights, performers, and interaction with the stage elements—all happening at breakneck speeds, one after the other.

I don't know if the real live tour has any "breaks" or intentional "pauses", but here the level of moving pieces (metaphorically & literally) sequentially is incredible.

I enjoyed "Reputation", "Red", "1989" and the super-sultry "Midnights" eras the most.

Cinema-wise, apart from the video issue I mentioned, the video clarity was impeccable & the audio was great, though still not in-person concert-level (Red Tour 2014, that will forever be etched in my memory).

But... this will be the closest some of us will get to being on her Eras tour, from the comfort of our local cinemas, unless you are flying to South America, Australia, Europe or even Singapore tongue.gif

Overall, this is a very memorable experience and a must-watch for Swift fans, though if you enjoy concert films in general, this one is worth experiencing.

I'm glad I (or rather, we) got the chance to watch it on the big screen especially after the initial scare that it might never be here. I know for a fact that watching it later on streaming or video services will NOT do justice.

10/10

One of the best "cinema" experience for me this year, and definitely the best concert film I've seen in a cinema thus far. Memorable to the last bit.

Some pics.

I was at row 17 VIP1 section PF5, which would have gotten me some great images, but I realized how crappy my smartphone camera is, especially under low light later that evening and in an intense spotlight.

With my eyes, it was so much more clear. laugh.gif

I would have brought my Sony 4K camcorder, but they wouldn't allow cameras other than smartphone cameras.

The lights, smoke, and VFX on-screen were absolutely incredible. During the "Midnights" era, I honestly thought the images were real, but they were merely on-screen (Taylor ascending the clouds).

first original 16 are ok….. not a single song is an instant fav for me and to me that’s not good. even folklore, which is my least fav album of hers, got an instant fav for me eg cardigan, the 1. i definitely need more listens

the anthology (next 15 songs) are way better and should’ve been the main album. it sounds so much like evermore, which i love

Taylor Swift dominates 2024 Spotify charts with 26.6 billion streams

QUOTE
Pop culture-wise, 2024 was undoubtedly the year of Taylor Swift, with mania over the pop star’s Eras Tour dominating headlines globally. Now, Spotify has revealed that the singer-songwriter broke a raft of records in its wrap of the year – including an extraordinary 26.6 billion streams for her music.

Topping Spotify Wrapped, the music streamer’s annual equivalent of the charts, was Swift’s album The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.

Released on April 19, the surprise double album was the first in Spotify history to have more than 300 million streams in a single day, becoming the most-streamed album in a single day in 2024. It broke another record on release day as Fortnight – featuring Post Malone – became the most-streamed song in a single day in Spotify history. By April 22, The Tortured Poets Department became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single week.

The End Of An Era” (Docuseries):

December 12 (Ep. 1 & 2)

December 19 (Ep. 3 & 4)

December 26 (Ep. 5 & 6)
