Below is a table I compiled for my blog comparing the benefits of cash back cards in general. Should have included Alliance Bank Plat Card but too lazy now to go add it.

Click here to read my comments on OCBC Titanium Master Card at my blog..

Gen-x,
Nice analysis rclxms.gif
By the way, do you get charged for RM50 service tax immediately after they approved the card for you? Any chance to waive it?

Yes, the RM50 is imposed immediately. When I activated the card the CS mentioned my available CL I was like blur until I realised it had deducted the RM50 tax. My maths bad without calculator, haha.

Yes, RM30K is a plat card limit for some banks but the Titanium is below plat status, plus OCBC is ultra stingy, so the answer is definitely NO  tongue.gif

If I am to guess, I would say RM15K would be their figure, but do keep us informed  hmm.gif

haha..Singaporean banks tend to be "stingy". Same to UOB, they'll give you low credit limit and maintain it for years

4/10/2010 Received card. CL is surprisingly high. I heard many friends here said OCBC stingy on cc CL.

chemistry,
you applied through OCBC bank branch or booth near shopping mall?

It's a good deal by SCB, according to clause 7 "If the New Principal Cardholder’s application for more than one (1) type of credit card is approved during the Promotion Period, each New Principal Card shall be entitled to the cash rebate. The cash rebate shall be credited into the New Principal Cardholder’s account within 30 days from the date the credit card is approved."
