bank in the rm1000 every month into the same bank ur salary been deposit to, do it for 3-5months then try to apply using bank statements, if u apply to the same bank then u have a better chance to get the card approved

Below is a table I compiled for my blog comparing the benefits of cash back cards in general. Should have included Alliance Bank Plat Card but too lazy now to go add it.

In that case, many Malaysians must think that carrying a Maybank credit card is very very prestigious  tongue.gif

Well, u got to give credits to Maybank, their 'influences' amongts locals are good, their ATMs, branches and ads are everywhere, not to forget M2U flexibility to be used with MYEG, GSC e-ticketing and etc, dats what matters, popularity amongst citizens

I have just enter into workforce as a freshgrad, I am earning about RM2.5k per month, I am planning to apply a credit card after about 3 months of working, just a classic mastercard will do.

Besides payslips, what need to be supplied? I am new in workforce, I don't pay income tax yet, and not yet have EA form. Can I request for EA form after just 3 months of working in a company?

In general, is it possible to apply for principal card after just 3 months of work life? Anyway is CIMB card good or not?

decent card, good promotions n i expect a lot of good things to come from cimb in the near future

Hi,

I'm planning to apply a credit card from Maybank. I'm a fresh grad and already started working for almost 3 month. Can any sifus advice me whether maybank is a good choice and how to apply. Other than that, what document should i provide other than my IC and salary slip? I read in the website, for fresh grad should provide employment offer letter and degree cert. Is it true?

Thanks.

try to avoid maybank la bro, they dont really value their existing customers much, try cimb or public bank for 'long term relationship'

Govt not stupid,
Imagine:
9.1 million card holders in mid-2010 x Rm50 each = RM450++ million in their pocket

plus the banks now getting competitive to be the dominant force in credit card business, will all the promos n the much beloved ocbc titanium still be here if it is not because of the GST? i doubt it
