LOL ! I think this is the case in many of their branches. Out of 3 of the HLB branches in Kota Kinabalu, 2 of the branches have cheque deposit machine only but as you pointed out. It is located inside the banking hall and we may only use it during office hours and the other one, which is located inside the city is the only HLB branch to offer cash and cheque deposit machines 

Are you able to produce any alibi? to prove that u were not there at that time & date.

They will send the transaction receipt and ask you to check whether it is your signature or not. (And they will cross check with the signature on record)
This is not free ... some charges apply. If you are not in the wrong then it will not be charged to you, if it is yours then you are liable for the charges.

Better if you got proof to say you are not there.
Note : the EMV cc that you are holding require the physical presence of the card for the transaction to occur. (Except it is internet transaction)

OCBC Titanium is not free for life, but with the rebate levels, 12 swipes a year isn't hard. EPF is just an indicator for income/salary. You can try to apply with a credit card with >RM7K credit limit at least a year old and see how they respond.

You can actually sign anything you want on the transaction slip, the transaction is still valid. But if they can prove that your card was used for the transaction and you didn't lose it, then you are liable for payment.

Sometimes merchant location in description not tally with the place you used ur cc. Few of my friends use their cc at merchant but it shows that the item was actually being purchased in another location before it comes to here...

That's why u need to keep every single receipt in your hand and make records where you buy it.

Do you know at least what that transaction is all about? By looking at the amount charges, can you recall something?
I'm just wondering how it can happen as the card is with you all the time.

Btw, some advices from me.
I think it is a good habit to always check the unbilled transaction online, so you can recall instantly since it is just a few days ago.
Activate sms alert whenever it is possible for certain amount of charges.
Activate 3D secure password for online transaction.

Any idea why they need to write it down? Last time I used to ask the cashier why they need to write down, they said it is for reference purpose. Huh?

I think Malaysia is not used to key in PIN number as some other countries do when making transaction at merchant. Maybe credit card needs to be redesigned, probably improved visa wave or paypass with fingerprint verification. So the card will never need to pass to anyone.
