Is the AMEX CC less than a year old?
*
Just reached 1 year now... not sure if this is the reason.
But they only tell me submit CC copy but not Amex...

QUOTE(underpressure @ Sep 2 2010, 12:26 AM)
I could be wrong, but could it be that AMEX is a charge card and not a credit card? So they take it that you do not have any existing limit therefore they treat it as a new credit application?
*
Mine is Amex Gold CC. Not sure if they treat all Amex as charge card...

QUOTE(ronnie @ Sep 2 2010, 10:16 AM)
It seem that OCBC cannot check the Credit Limit of existing AMEX CC...
*
I hope this is not true... cause my Amex Gold CC is the only way I can apply for OCBC Titanium... else I'm out of luck sad.gif

Anyone applied OCBC some where in the last week of Aug and the result is known?
*
I sent my application on 20/8 and it has just been approved on 1/9 when I checked the status via OCBC self service hotline.

My application was dated 24/8 and till now, no of them called me for verification.  hmm.gif

If your documents are complete and you are qualified for the card, the bank will not call you for verification. For instance, OCBC did not call me and my application is successful.

The HLB cash back on first swipe will only be credited on 3rd month, why so slow?? And agent never told me bout tis.
*
Really? No wonder mine isn't in yet. In a way, the bank is smart, people can't apply, swipe, get the cashback, then cancel the card immediately.

So SCB is better, straightaway credit the cash back to the customer's account.

Anyone got the info UOB going to launch Preferred World Mastercard and Visa Signature soon in Malaysia?
HSBC Visa Platinum only need RM100K annual income to apply, looks like they are going to launch new premium credit card too.

I kind of doubt HSBC will launch a new premium credit card in Malaysia anytime soon. If they were to launch it, i'd expect Hong Kong to get it first but there is still no sign that they are going to introduce any new premium credit cards there. Many other banks in Hong Kong such as Bank of East Asia, Wing Lung Bank and even Standard Chartered offer credit cards that ranked higher than Platinum credit card for quite some time already. Heck, even its own subsidiary Hang Seng Bank offers VISA Infinite but it doesn't.

And regarding the UOB Bank World MasterCard and VISA Signature. It's good to see them offering more types of credit card but they really need to review their UniRinggit program. It sucks big time. Points required are the highest in the industry.

You may only apply for a supplementary card when the principal card is approved.
